Matt sat back in the booth, lightly tapping the edge of their table for a moment as he watched people file in and out of the building, early hour people leaving while lunch breakers walk in. He glanced back at Erika for a moment before gently nudging her shoe with his under the table. "So, when we get back, are we putting down the new floor for downstairs, or tearing out the top floor first?" He asked. They still had a lot to work on before it was completely finished, but they were getting closer to the finishing line. It looked like maybe a good month of concentrated work before then.
Lillie didn't much appreciate the jab about...her current alias; it was still a shock of realization to know she was Nightwing now. In a way, she loved it -- she loved to have this honor. But she only wished it was given to her in another way. That wish was tied to wishing she had her own name and insignia. She didn't say no more, just fought with her strength to beat these men alongside her sister. These thugs were twice their sizes, twice or thrice their weight. But she still kicked, punched, hit and tased with all her might. One guy charged her from across the room, and she saw before he could hit, her mask warning her, lighting his form in a bright neon purpley pink. She braced herself before charging back, jumping onto a tall box to leap, and landing precisely on him. In the same move, she wrapped her legs around him in a turn, flipping them over, crashing him to the ground, the impact bashing his face in. She straightened as she tazed him, his sharp cries of pain ringing around the place. She quickly checked her sister to see how she was doing, but one fellow had a huge crowbar in his hand, midswing to the back of her head. Lillie gasped and acted quickly; she spun for momentum, then threw an escrima stick at him. The two little metal prongs quickly attached deeply into the side of his neck, sending shockwaves of bolts into his system, dropping him in spasms. Lillie smacked her fingers against her palm, activating a magnetic-like hold, and drew the stick back into her palm, right before she turned and cracked that very stick up into some thug's jaw. He yelled, the hit only fueled his anger, and he tried to grab at her, but she ducked out of the way, kicking his back to send him flying to Ally. "Heads up!" She called over. If she acted, she could finish him off, and maybe send one back to her, like bad-guy ping-pong.

"It'll probably be easier just to put the new floor in. Rather not have to walk on a skeleton every time we go through the house. Then we can just move onto the top floor tomorrow," Erika said, swirling the ice in her glass. She looked up as someone else entered the room and she raised an eyebrow. That guy, she knew. It had been her really old crush when she was like fourteen and too young to know that a seventeen year old guy wouldn't be interested in a fourteen year old girl/ He caught her eye and she quickly looked away, pressing her lips together and hoping that he didn't remember who she was. Unfortunately, when she heard his voice, she knew that wasn't the case. "Hey! You're that girl right? The one that used to hang out at the library all the time?" he asked in a booming voice, stopping next to their booth. (I had to lol I need humor xD)
The pack was starting to dwindle a bit, but Ally knew this was probably just the beginning. It was easy to knock them out and after a few minutes, she decided to play a little game. She'd stun them to the point where they weren't paying attention and then duck in a hiding spot only to come soaring out and back into the fight again. It was rather amusing when they got confused and couldn't deduce where she'd went and it made picking them off much easier. One of them seemed to catch on and started to look for her after she hid, but she quickly slid along different hiding spots until she was directly behind him. She tapped on his shoulder and as soon as he spun around, she sent a nice punch to his jaw, effectively knocking him to the ground. Not wasting any time, she whacked him in the temple until he was unconscious. Just as she finished, she heard her sister's warning and she spun, grinning wickedly when one of them literally came flying toward her. She leaped into the air, kicking him hard in the side and sending him toward the wall. His head whacked against the concrete and he fell limp to the floor. By now, there were only three of the goons left and they were already beginning to waver and get scared. One of them even started to run, but she knocked him to the floor with a swift batarang.

[ no subs bc lazy and on tablet
Lol poor Matt is just going to be u.u" ]
Matt nodded in agreement, taking a sip of his temporary glass of water (since he'd ordered milk and that'll come later with his meal), and he raised a brow at her sudden change of demeanor. He had an ice cube in his mouth when the guy started talking and even stopped by, and Matt gave the guy a good look, though he didn't even look back; unrecognizable and a few years older, and all attention was directed at Erika. A slight flush of heat bathed Matt's cheeks and he turned away to busy himself with a napkin, drawing out a pen from his pocket that he'd used for measurements earlier, doodling and definitely not listening to the conversation. He crunched the ice bitterly the whole time.
They were almost done, but Lillie had adrenaline pumping through her like there was no tomorrow. She kicked thugs, slammed knees and elbows into faces, choked till they gasped then stunned them with her sticks. They were down to the final few, and she stood by her sister, eyes narrowed at them. She wanted to beat them up, but it'd be hilarious to watch them soil themselves and run like babies. She casted a sideglance to her sister before she did anything, then joking nudged her elbow with her own. "What should we do about them?" She asked, giving the few a hard look though a half smirk played on her lips. She shut her escrima sticks pff and put them back on the harness on her back, and then took out her own form of batarang -- this one came with an uncuttable thin wire, long and attached to another batarang. She took the moment to teasingly twirling it in a soft circle, the wire whistling in the air. "I'd say, tie'em up and leave them dangling on the roof," she offered.

[ just quoting all the replies n.n~ ]
FOR WIN Nighttime in Gotham was a sight to see, probably the best times of day in this Jersey city. It would sometimes be rainy, or misty, or foggy; the city was lit up with building lights and neon; from where Jack was on a roof, he could hear the nearby club's music, the base pounding with a heavy rhythm. He knew how clubs worked because he's been in his fair share -- strictly for business, finding mob bosses and gang members, making deals for cash. Robbing banks were boring sometimes. He liked to have some fun, and besides, the city knew who he was, what he was, and wouldn't try to mess with him. And if they did, he either gave them a threat that he didn't like owning, or, his sister would make a scene to shut them up. Jack glanced over his shoulder at her now, going through their bag of toys and weapons on this roof, while he stood on a rusty beam, his shoes helping with balance. He was already a natural at balance and acrobatics. His heavy sledgehammer rested on his shoulder, his hands on the long bar on either side. He checked on her for a moment before looking back at the city, the domino mask around his eyes, concealing his identity as well as the black dye in his blonde hair -- he would stock up on temporary black hair dye spray every Halloween, and it would wash out during a hot soapy shower, and his sister usually griped when the tub turned gray afterwards. Hayley was always by his side in crime since the start; it was her choice, and though he didn't really prefer it, he left her to choose what she wished for now. Soon he would take her away from this crappy city and put her and their mother in a nice place with a nice house and with plenty of money for a lifetime. But for now, she and him were the dynamic crime duo, the Harletwins, even though they weren't remotely close to being twins but that was what the town would call them since they didn't know what else to say with their lack of cleverness. Matt would sometimes accompany them, but for Jack's baby scarecrow was busy being with his little girlfriend, fixing up a house or something like that. It was funny, really, because Jack was always the one with the silver tongue and a way with flirting and such, with anyone really but mostly to girls, and Matt, the shy one, was the one with a girlfriend. Jack wasn't jealous or anything because it was adorable -- but it was ironic because Jack wasn't one for relationships. He had one that was almost 'officially' a relationship, but, she decided he wasn't enough for her, so she's fawning over that rich Queen boy. Jack mentally rolled his eyes at that because he was over it, but it was the last thing hes ever really been involved with. He usually now flitted from girl to girl, but it wasn't real; they didn't even consider to be "flings" because he didn't date them (or sleep with them, as many assumed due to his sensual characteristics, but he's never even done the deed, ever, but that's a secret.) He used the playgirls to get information from their bosses so he could finish jobs. He would occasionally go to dinner with some to keep an act, but that was it. But there was one girl, however... And Jack didn't really know what to make of it, honestly. He'd prefer not to have anyone know of his strange crush on the District Attorney, Alice Dent, because they were still milking his crush on Katherine Wayne, as well as Huntress, and it was quite humorous, really. But, he had to admit, he felt something for this girl. Something made him want to protect her of the badness in this city, despite her heritage. He kept his eye and mind on her, a silent protector if you must, and over the span of a couple weeks she hasn't even bothered to get cross with him anymore. Which was nice, really. Jack realized he was daydreaming about nonsense when he pictured Alice's stormy blue eyes smiling up at him as he kept watch of her path from work to home, and he shook his head, scratching his cheek when he blushed. He couldn't get stuck in that. He had to focus on money so he could get his family out of Gotham City. Breathing a small sigh, Jack hopped down from the beam to go to his sister, tapping her arm. "You ready?" He asked, a light brown brow arching above his mask.
FOR CAT Marty didn't have to wait long before the door opened, and she gave the Wayne boy a look of surprise. "You sound shocked," she replied in way of greeting; really, it probably took her five minutes to go from Star City to Gotham, and another ten to get to the apartment. She adjusted her hold on Kitty, her hands holding her daintily -- one underneath to keep her up, the other on her silver tabby side -- and she made it so her front paw bobbed in a wave. "Mister Damian, Marty is unamused and very bored, and wishes to come inside for perhaps a movie night or something of the like?" She said with a false British a sounding voice, making it as if her cat was speaking. She waved her paw as if gesturing and such as well. She smirked when he let her in anyways, and she gently passed Kitty off to him to hold so she could bring her bag and carrier inside. Once they were stacked by the coat rack, she greeted Penny, who had attached herself to her leg by winding around it with purrs and mews. This wouldn't be the first time either of them slept over at the other's, usually taking the couch or making a pallet on the floor, to crash after criminal hunting or something. Slipping her shoes neatly off by the door, Marty went to the couch to sit on the back of it, her small self even smaller once she crossed her legs beneath her, adding a bit more support. "So. What movie are we watching?" She asked, looking over at him with her cat.

Erika felt a little uncomfortable with him barging in on their lunch, but she was too awkward to tell him to go away. So she opted to pretend she had no idea who he was. "Uh I'm not sure who you're talking about? I think you have the wrong person," she tried. Little did she know that he would plop down right next to her, forcing her to scoot to the corner of the booth. "No it's Greg, remember? I used to tutor in the library all the time and you'd show up to help. Erin? What was it.....Erika! That's it!" She huffed, not really happy that he now had a reason to stick around. He looked nearly the same as he had when she saw him last - attractive shoulder-length blond hair, bright blue eyes, and a charming smile to go with it. All of that was marred by the fact that he was a huge player. "Wow you really grew up! The hotness gene really hit you hard." Okay whoa he was getting a bit too forward. Before she could even open her mouth to answer, he seemed to notice Matt and asked, "who is that, your brother?" She winced, shooting a glance over at him and shaking her head. "No...he's my boyfriend."
Ally hovered over the group of them, panting from exertion. She was so ready to get this fight finished and feel the satisfaction of putting a dent in Joker's men. Every night, that was her goal. She would come out and beat them up and put them behind bars. Eventually, there wouldn't be any more and then the Joker would have to come to them directly. He wouldn't have anyone to do his bidding for him. At Lillie's suggestion, she smirked. "Good idea. Let them think about their lives while the cops come and get 'em." Without another word, she leaped forward to hold the three still so that her sister could tie them up and they could drag them up to the roof and leave them hanging.

Instead, Matt tried to be passive about this, and his creative doodling went from soft shapes to just a harsh scribbly circle, the napkin turning black and weak, the pen tip barely scraping the table. This guy was meaning no harm, probably a somebody from her past, but he was being inconsiderate and really obnoxious, and kind of making Matt mad. Matt gave him a sort of look when he finally noticed him, and Matt just gave him a sarcastic half wave of his hand when Erika stated who he was. Boyfriend, best friend since childhood, future housemate, take your pick, Matt inwardly added, biting on the inside of his cheek. He saw a glint and looked down at the guy's hand, clearing see a golden band on a finger. "So, you're married, huh? Must be nice and all, having a wife," Matt hinted, his dark blue eyes peeking around the dining room, seeing a lonely woman about the same age, casting glances over to the three of them. "She must be proud, being married to a friendly guy," Matt added in a mutter, looking back at the guy. He didn't even catch his name, he didn't even care. Lillie smirked when Ally agreed to her, and once she rounded the men up, Lillie slung out her batarang around them, tying them up a good bit. She made sure it was tight, they were not able to shimmy loose, and she gave her sister a thumbs up. "Lead the way. Should be easy to find a place, then make a pully system to get them up there," she spoke up, peering up above at the high metal beams and rafters.

Hayley was sitting over the ledge of the building, her legs swinging as she worked on applying her ruby red lipstick, a small handheld mirror in her hand that was shaped like skull. She finished and made a popping sound with her lips than hopped up enthusiastically. "Yep! Can't wait." She said excitedly and twisted a pink tipped blonde curl around a slender finger. Her nails were freshly painted bright pink and sharpened slightly at the tips to be used possibly as a weapon. Her main weapon was a regular baseball bat covered in stickers and art with the words "night night" on the side. It even had glitter that had to be reapplied often because she found it often came off when she hit people. Lately she had been bored, not much for her to do and Jack was too busy hanging around who knows where doing who knows what to bring her fun gossip. Usually he told her everything so it was slightly irksome to Hayley that he was more secretive about where he was these days. She liked to let Jack do his own thing, but with Matt and Erika dating she got bored easily and wanted more attention so going out on nights like these made her happy. Plus it was hard for Hayley, she didn't believe in love and avoided it most of the time. "What's the plan Jacky?" She questioned and tossed a piece of bubble gum in her mouth before holding out a piece to offer to Jack.

Lillie smirked when Ally agreed to her, and once she rounded the men up, Lillie slung out her batarang around them, tying them up a good bit. "Not surprised you ended up wrangling someone with those looks. Why didn't we go out before? We were pretty good friends back in the day," Greg rambled, shooting her a wink and a charming smile. Erika flushed and shrugged. Maybe it was because you were too busy sucking the face off the girls you were tutoring.... Matt mentioned something about him being married and she realized that he did have a ring on. Shocker. "Ah yeah, my Emily. We just got married a few months ago. She should be here any moment. Trying to steal her for a lunch break," he said with a grin, glancing up. A dark-haired woman entered the restaurant a few moments later, making a beeline for them when she spotted them. "This is her!" he said happily. "Hey Em, you remember Erika right? She hung around a lot when I used to tutor you way back when?" She had to admit, Emily was rather gorgeous, though a little bit eccentric. "Not sure I remember you. But it's nice to ah, meet you again I guess? Come on, babe. I only have a half hour and I came down just for you," she pushed, running her hands through his hair. Erika felt extremely uncomfortable at this point, but it only got worse. "Yeah just get us a table, I'll be there in a sec!" he assured, winking at her and then turning to her once she disappeared. He took a napkin and quite literally snatched the pen right out of Matt's hand to jab a number down on it. "So we can stay in contact. If you ever get bored we can catch up. It's been a long time. See you soon, Erika!" He gave her a dimpled grin before scooting out of the booth and heading down the aisle to sit with his wife. If there was ever a time she wanted to hide from the world, it was right now. [ im literally crying this was so fun to write lolololol ]
Ally took a few steps around the place, looking for the best beam to use. The one in the center of the room was probably the sturdiest and she pointed to it. "That one's perfect. Let's bring the buffoons over and let them hang around a little." She smirked, back-tracking to where the group of them were tied together and taking hold of a section of the wire to drag them. With a firm tug, she started to slowly get them toward the center of the room. They were very heavy, but dragging something heavy was a lot easier than lifting.

Jack smiled softly at his baby sister's enthusiasm, and he just had to gently pat her hair in between her two pigtails; not in a babying way, but because she was so small and cute, really. Now, he had to improvise a plan, because he didn't know what they should do really. "Hm..." He hummed, looking down below at the busy streets. "Well, we could pay the mob bosses a visit at the club if you want. Or, rob one of the couple of businesses up the street," he offered, looking at the few choices. Personally, he knew this particular club, knowing it was much tamer without specific entertainment that others had, but it was still high class. It was mostly just for dancing and drinking, a casino theme to it, with a VIP room in the back where the bosses sit around and chat about nothing over a game of poker. It'd be fun, dropping in on a visit. Jack even had a pass so they could detour through the long line at the entrance. But he glanced at his sister to see which she preferred.
Matt clamped his teeth down when the guy didn't take his hint and left like Matt wanted. His wife wasn't much of any help, either, and before he left he even took Matt's pen, scribbling his number in a messy scrawl on her napkin. As soon as he left, Matt snatched his pen back and took the napkin, slipping it into his phone case. "Please lemme call him and give him a scare. Please," he practically begged, cutting off when their waitress stopped by with their orders, in which he leaned back. Pancakes almost didn't sound good anymore, but he gave her a thankful smile as she left, then stabbed the single cake with his fork and angrily took a bite, eating his emotions, a harsh glare pointed to across the room at him as he chewed.
Lillie saluted and helped Ally drag the men to the center of the room. With a good swing, she threw up the other end of the batarang wire high up and over the rafter beam, then she took it as it dropped by her in the air. Letting Ally pull with her, they pulled the hefty bunch up into the air a good ten odd feet, then Lillie secured it to a solid rod in the floor. "There. That'll show I'm," she huffed, dusting her hands together, then with a efforted huff of breath, she rested her hands at her hips, looking at her bat-clad sister. Then for a solid, humorous moment, she snickered. "I miss working with you," she sighed, holding her hand up for a high five. "This must be what Mom and Dad did when they were kids."

Erika would have buried her face in the table if it wasn't for the waitress who came buy with their food. At Matt's words, she viciously shook her head. "No please. Let's just pretend he doesn't exist anymore." That part of her life was a part she wanted to forget. She was so naive and dumb to think that he was even a good guy. It was just her hormones and the fact that he was a decent looking guy didn't help either. Glancing up at Matt, she noticed he seemed pretty angry and she said nothing, letting out a sigh and picking up her fork and knife. He had a right to be mad since Greg basically flirted with her and even invited her to "catching up", but she just wanted to forget it now.
Ally grinned as they heaved the men up high into the sky. Once they were up, she pulled out her special phone used for outings and dialed the police, only stating the address once they picked up before hanging up. Looking over at Lillie, she gave her a high-five back, nodding. "Yeah I know.... Must have been more fun for them since they were sneaking around and making out after missions," she said with a snicker, rolling her eyes. As if things even changed. The two of them expressed their affection quite publicly without a care. Sometimes, the little girl in her wanted something like that too, but she always buried that thought. "We should probably go before the cops show up. Come on."

Matt let out a huff when she denied, calming a bit when she sighed. He wasn't angry, really, but it was just annoying and bothered him, honestly. He cast a last look over at him before looking back at Erika, and he nudged her foot with his own. "Sorry. I'll have to consider not stopping by his place and giving him something, but that's still an idea," he kind of joked, taking a sip of his chocolate milk.
Lillie almost snorted at how much that was true. Though, now, her parents weren't fighting in the field together but rather she helped through comms and such as Oracle, Lillie knew that they still shared moments together. One night, about a month ago, Lillie came home late and saw her parents curled up together on the couch, the TV blue as the player was shut off. It was cute as she pulled the blanket up over her parents before she went to sleep. Lillie nodded out of her vision and followed her sister out of the warehouse as sirens were heard in the distance. They went up to an adjacent roof to watch. "So, what's next?" Lillie asked, fixing her straight black ponytail.
