It took a lot of effort in less to like to finish his section of flooring, but as Matt gripped onto a particularly stubborn board, tearing it out was an effort but that's usually how last pieces go. Heaving a breath, he tossed it aside to his own collection, his feet planted on vertical boards that was the floor plan. Next step would be to put down brand new planks, cover with plywood sheets, insulation, and then another plywood layer -- then they can put down whatever flooring they prefer, using tile or hard wood sheets or carpet. But now, it was lunchtime, and Matt had a craving for breakfast food. Gathering up his hefty stack of old planks, he dropped them with the rest near Erika, keeping mindful of stepping on the skeletal floor. "Okay -- IHOP, Waffle House, or Denny's?" He asked, grabbing a towel he brought along and scrubbed at his hair and face to get some of the muck and sweat off, and when done he looked at her in question. He then tried to pat down his messy 'do because he knew it was all over the place. Lillie let out a small huff of breath at her sister's bland responses, and she uncoiled herself to get out of bed. To the closet, she snatched the door open, bracing herself to facing the suit. It was a glass shard stabbing her heart and insides as she took a look at it, but she forced herself to grab it and the bag at the floor. She shooed Ally outside again and closed the curtains so everyone and their brother didn't see her change. Pulling off her typical T-shirt and shorts that served as pajamas, she first changed into what she wore as work out clothing, black set of sportsbra tank and short shorts. Then, she pulled on the suit; it was all one-piece with a zipper in the back, and it had long sleeves, though the bottoms were shorts that came to about mid-thigh. It was a special material that Bruce (and Mr. Fox) helped design for combat and swiftness, and it has a bit of blue plating on it -- thin and flexible but it was great for protection. She slipped on her knee-high boots that were made of the same material, with a bit of a wedged heel that wasn't too tall but rather comfortable. She tied her wavy black hair up into a ponytail so it was out of the way, and pulled on her mask; it was a black domino mask, and in hand it looked normal, but when it was on her face, the eyeholes had retina scans to identify her (for security reasons) before they became a screen of sorts. Looking at her head on, her eyes were white, and the mask literally basically molded to her face, so if she, say, raised a brow or squinted, the mask showed it. On the inside where she could see, it was what was called 'detective vision', covering the surroundings with heat signatures if needed and x-ray, but for now she kept it to neutral, seeing the world normal but as of she were looking at a game screen. Little scanners off to the side of her vision measured and scanned items. Finishing up, she pulled on her gloves and fastened them to her sleeves, her utility belt was a blue-chrome around her waist, and she pulled on her harness that held her escrima sticks, their blue ends just barely glowing to show they were charged. She was done, and she tried not to catch herself in the mirror so she could look at the blue bird symbol on her chest, and right after restocking gadgets and her born shaped batarangs and such, she turned out the light and slipped outside by her sister. "This better be therapeutic, Ally, because if it's boring, I'm going home," she told her, but in a small way, she was joking. She was still upset and brooding, but the idea of beating up bad guys, ones that could be in help of him who was responsible, it sent a thrill through her. After they were both done, Erika stood to her feet and dusted herself off, tying her hair up so her sweat could dry a little more quickly. She wiped her face with her sleeve and straightened herself out a little. "I-Hop," she said, bending down to pick up her purse that she discarded on the floor when they entered. She slung it over her shoulder and crept through the floor, which was a bit difficult to navigate because of everything being ripped up. "Come on, let's hurry before the rush hour lunchers get there."
Ally rolled her eyes when she was shooed out of the window and shut the curtains. She waited on the roof next to the window, huffing and crossing her arms. She tried not to think about exactly why she was bringing her sister out here and how Eli was gone, but it was so hard. Her fists tightened and she ground her teeth. She startled when Lillie came out the window next to her. "Just follow me," she muttered shortly, still recovering from her thoughts and being startled. Without another word, she swooped down from the roof, landing on the next one over and starting at a run. Her adrenaline fueled her legs and she leaped from roof to roof easily. climbing up higher when she had to climb and landing in a roll when she had to. She was leading them to the area where the Joker held the most prevalence in Gotham and that was where she liked to go to beat up her thugs. When the finally reached his district, she slowed to a stop, panting lightly and looking down at the streets. She had barely broken a sweat and the run had only fueled her need for a good fight.

Matt nodded in acceptance to her response, following her carefully across the skeletal floor until they got to the stairs. They got in his car (they both drove over), and it was a good few minutes to cut through the city to get to the main part where most of the businesses were. IHOP wasn't too stocked up with people, thankfully, as he parked and they got out to go in. Soon, they were seated in a booth with menus. Matt knew what he kind of wanted, but he checked the menu first to make sure it was available -- which it was. The waitress had given them a few moments to gather what they wanted before coming back to get their orders. Matt nudged Erika's menu. "You know what you want?" He asked, taking a peak at the section she had open.
Lillie held her breath, blowing it out in a harsh sigh, when her sister muttered before leaping off the roof. Lillie didn't really want them to be on anxious and upset terms. She knew things were rough now, and she didn't feel like anything would make it better, but she didn't really want to feel like this when she was with Ally. So she followed, keeping a pace behind her costumed sibling; while Ally was leaping and rolling and soaring around, Lillie went a bit more acrobatically; keeping balance on edges, landing after a sharp three-sixty swing from a wire or light pole. She kept up with the fast pace, eventually stopping right next to her once they've arrived their destination. Her mask automatically was sizing things up, scanning for enemies -- five in a building across the street, two armed with guns while three had blunt objects -- but before Lillie could let her go off on a fighting spree, she took her sister's arm to gently turn to face her. "Hey, um..." She started, frowning at her ginger haired sister -- it was always kind of weird to think she got the bright orange hair of their mother while she and Eli got their father's ebony hair -- then she pulled Ally in, hugging her tight. "I'm sorry for being a mopey mess anymore," she whispered, squeezing her eyes shut. "This has been hard for everyone, so I have no excuse, really, to act like I'm the only one hurt." She did feel like that sometimes, because he was her twin. She was now one half of a whole. But that didn't matter because her family, their friends, and everyone who knew Eli were hurt. Lillie pulled away, one hand still holding Ally's, as she looked at her. "Don't be too upset. You dragged me out, I'm out; let's just have some fun beating up punks, like old times, okay?" She murmured, giving her hand a soft squeeze. And though Ally only saw the computerized white eye holes, Lillie acted as if their blue eyes were looking at the other.

[ ok I just love rping siblings gah <'3 ] Within minutes, they were down the stairs and in the car. Erika was definitely very hungry by the time they got there. The whole morning had been spent working and ripping up the floor, which required a lot of effort. When they got into the place, they were led over to a booth and she sat across from Matt, glancing down at the menu. The waitress asked for what they wanted to drink and she just asked for a water before she started to look at her choices. She always liked pancakes, but omelettes were healthier and they even had some breakfast combo options she could go for. Matt asked what she wanted and she shrugged. "I dunno. Thinking an omelette or something. you?"
Ally spotted a group of goons in clown-looking attire. Her fists clenched involuntarily and her eyes narrowed behind her mask. She was so focused on them, what they were carrying, and what they were doing that she didn't even hear Lillie speak. The only thing that snapped her attention away was the hand on her arm and she looked over to her sister, breath hitching when she started to speak and then when she was pulled into a hug. All day and evening, she had been in a pretty foul mood, so she didn't immediately hug back, but after a moment, she did. It felt like a release of tension and she felt so much better after her words and comfort. "It's fine. You mope, I brood. Guess it's Bruce's fault." She shrugged a little, releasing a breath of tension and rolling her shoulders as she pulled away from her sister and looked at her. "Alright. Let's go and show them who they're messing with." The tiniest of smiles came to her lips and she turned, pushing herself off the ledge and gliding down with her cape to the group of thugs below.

Matt glanced through his own menu as she replied. "Yeah, I heard their omelets are pretty good," he said. He's never really tried them because he's not too fond of egg dishes. But as he grew up and the times him and his dad came here, Jonathan would always say that he should try them because they were amazing. Matt re-found what he wanted on the menu, tapping it so Erika could see. "All-you-can-eat pancakes," he snickered. This, and the random monthly specials, would be what he always got. A few bucks for unlimited (within reason) pancakes and a side of bacon and hash browns was worth it to him. When the waitress stopped by for their orders, Matt let Erika order first before he spoke his, adding chocolate milk as his beverage since water wouldn't really work well with pancakes. He gathered the menus up and handed them to her before she left.
Lillie pressed a small smile to her lips as Ally did, and she gave an affirmative nod in agreement. Once Ally took off, Lillie had a running start and kept to the next roof -- she didn't have a cape, but she had years of practice on rooftop jumping. She let her sister make her entrance to the clown goons in the building, the large window shattering behind her. Lillie's mask scanned the hole, and she almost followed, but she decided to make her own kind of interest. Jumping from the adjacent building, Lillie landed silently onto the side, gripping a metal beam. She climbed up to the high roof, and it took a moment to find the skylight to the room -- her mask had switched to heat signatures, detecting the five men below as well as her sister. Lillie noticed more men throughout the building, and she was sure this fight won't be too short. Lillie set up two charges on the window below her, setting up ten seconds to allow Ally to finish whatever entrance she wants, and Lillie stood on the middle of the glass, ready. Without pulling her sticks out completely, she just held the handles, relaxed, before she geared herself for the drop. The charges shocked the glass, weakening it, before it shattered as well, and Lillie braced for the landing a good story or two below. She landed neatly by her sister and the shards sprayed on the men, and Lillie stood up, her escrima sticks pulled out, the ends bright blue. Some men called backup, some asked loudly if, "Hey isn't that that Nightwing symbol? Thought he was dead" "Yeah, copycats tend to do that." Lillie bristled a bit, because of course they knew, their boss killed Eli, but it was because they thought she was a copycat. Gritting her teeth, her eyes -- therefore her computerized white eye holes on the mask -- narrowed as she got into a fighting stance, her thumbs sliding to the little buttons on her sticks to arm them. "I'm not a copycat," she muttered, and she took the moment to start the fight -- she glanced over at a sneaking enemy, then kicked out her foot to trip him, and she sent him flying hard into the wall with a whack with her sticks, his body ****zing with electricity with his harsh screams. She looked around, daring for another fighter, and for a moment, she looked angry at them. "I am Nightwing," she continued, her voice sharp. She hasn't realized until now that this was true. She didn't have an alias name, but since her brother died, she had just recently vowed to honor him, and therefore she just realized that she took his name in honor, and therefore she is the new Nightwing.

She didn't have an alias name, but since her brother died, she had just recently vowed to honor him, and therefore she just realized that she took his name in honor, and therefore she is the new Nightwing. Erika rolled her eyes when Matt told her what he was getting. Typical. Pancakes did sound nice but they were so sugary and unhealthy. So she decided to order the omelette with cheese, ham, and peppers with a small fruit salad. She told the waitress her order when she came around and then Matt told his. Their menus were scooped up and soon they were waiting for their food. She folded her hands on the table, taking a quick glance around the place as a few more people came in. They were lucky they got here before everyone started to rush in. At least they would be able to get their food more quickly and not have to wait for a table.
Ally smirked at the men as they gasped in surprise upon seeing her. They muttered something about Batgirl and she rolled her eyes, dealing a swift kick to one's head and knocking him clean out. She wore a very similar costume to her mother's, but she hadn't decided what she was going to call herself yet. Batgirl was definitely off the list. Not that she didn't respect her mother, but she wanted to be her own person and having the mantra of Batgirl was a weight she wasn't sure she wanted to carry. Her mother was much more moral than she was, especially given recent circumstances. The last thing she wanted to do was ruin the reputation her mother set for the next girl to take up the mantle of Batgirl. For now, she would just be nameless. As soon as the first thug dropped, the others became more aware and ready to fight. One of them charged her, but she easily dodged, her lithe form able to twist much more quickly than his muscular one. Another sent a punch flying at her and she blocked it, reeling forward to jab him harshly in the gut. He keeled over, but their brief scuffle had been enough for the other thugs to catch on and soon she was taking a hard blow to the kidney. Her vision blurred for a moment and she instinctively ducked down and rolled to cover. She didn't need to see to get away; besides, she only needed a moment to recollect herself and start seeing clearly. Kidney blows hurt badly and they always blurred the vision. Her suit protected her for the most part, but these guys were muscular and hit pretty hard. By the time she got her vision back - a couple of seconds, really - her sister was already joining in the fight. She glanced up, noting the quick exchange between her and the thugs about her alias. Just the name brought back fresh memories and her resolve steeled. The pain ebbed away and she got to her feet, eyes narrowed and focused on one of the men that approached Lillie from behind. He didn't even notice her, the idiot. He was too focused on approaching her sister to get a surprise attack when he was the one about to be in for a surprise. With a grunt, she swung a sharp uppercut to his chin, causing his head to snap back and teeth to fly. He crumpled to the ground without getting up and she held herself back, even though she had the incredible urge to keep beating on him. It wasn't any fun to fight someone who couldn't fight back. It was just her hands itching for vengeance - some sort of cathartic moment that would make everything alright again. But she knew that it wasn't going to be that way, no matter how much she messed up his face.
