And besides, even if Daisy return to the Horseplace, she wouldn't be as respected there and cats won't even care for her. I mean, Smoky pretty much confirmed himself that he didn't reallu care about Floss when she died and said Coriander "replaced" her, and Smoky was even happy that Daisy was leaving.

We don't know what happened to Purdy before The New Prophecy, though... He'd been wandering around by himself because his owner died, and didn't seem to be in bad shape when the cats first met him, so he clearly was able to take care of himself to some degree. He only gone to problems later when he became older, and couldn't take care of himself anymore (meaning, what happened with Sol).

Not being shown doing battle training does not negate that she learned how to fight. Keep in mind that she is a background character, and we won't see her 24/7 like a main character. There literally is no other cat that can do a better job at this role, in the clan, than Daisy, the only other cat that was even questionable was Ferncloud, and she'd dead. So you complain about her fretting and caring about her kits but now you're saying that her relationship with them is shallow or average at best? Make up your mind. It's bad writing for her to just get up and abandon her kits, even if they're fully grown, she's not a terrible mother like Sasha. SkyClan =/= ThunderClan, actually any of the other four clans really, SkyClan literally live by their own set of rules compared to the other clans. They're not even comparable, not yet at least. And how is Daisy not a great example to her kits??? The only one that thinks this is literally you, meanwhile the actual cats in the actual story think otherwise and appreciate Daisy for that cat she is and everything she's done. You're just trying to degrade her character because of your obscure sighting of her. Daisy is literally shown to be able to go on hunting patrols, and patrols in general, she can fight, and yet you're still complaining just because we don't her see her develop like a main character, smh. Honestly its like we're going in circles, and all you're trying to do is look for ridiculous reasons to hate a permanent queen, so I'm done here. Agreed. If you could maybe see behind my reasoning instead of labelling it as "ridiculous" just because it's not your opinion or are to quick to make assumptions then yes, of course this isn't going anywhere. I'm just stating what my reasoned opinion of Daisy is, reasons, for which other people might dislike her too, which is the point of this thread. I also gotta love how you exaggerate my argument of how she has a completely normal - avergage - relationship to her kits. I never said anything about it being shallow, just that it's neither stronger nor weaker than a normal relationship between a mother and her kits (or, if you want an example: it's not a Rainflower-Crookedkit relationship, but it's also not a Moonflower-Bluekit relationship). I also never said that she should abandon her kits when they still young, but instead that she could easily have left when they have grown up and were warriors. That would not make her a bad mother, just a she-cat that is wise enough to see that Clan life doesn't suit her but isn't heartless to leave her kits when they still needed her. I could go into now again of how your first argument can also be taken as an argument in favor of my opinion or how your argument of ThunderClan =/= SkyClan doesn't hold up, because Clovertail had her development when Sandstorm and Firestar were still around, which was way waaay before Leafstar made her own rules. But what's the point? You clearly like to overlook certain arguments or misread them just so you get apply your own - in some cases just as ridiculous - arguments On another hand, how does other cats thinking positive about Daisy prove anything? Don't Hawkheart's appearances in YS, BP and TR show more than clearly that it always depends on the cats' POV on how a character is portrayed? (and for the love of StarClan NO that does NOT imply that Daisy has an aggressive or "mean" side of her personality, it's just an allegory. Just take the "sweet gentle Spottedleaf" that is seen up to by almost everyone for example - she's often critized because she meddles with other cats' destinies, yet no cat in the books ever thinks she's annoying or something similar - it's just the opinion of people based on what they see of her behaviour, just like I built my opinion around what I see of Daisy in the books) And, no Daisy was never seen going on patrols, and you can't even seem to prove your claim in that point with a cite, so don't expect me to change my view if you can't even give fundamental proof Is my view of her obscure? Maybe, but again, I'm building my opinion of her on what is seen from her in the books, not assumptions that she may or may not participate in the full Clan life or based purely on what the other cats think of her. Like you said, this is going in circles because neither of us is willing to fully see the point of the other or wants to see good/bad aspects about her so I'm not going to try to argue further because clearly I'll just get the same ol' arguments that I've weakend more than enough Tau over and out
