That would be Tom of the Moor. He's the same cat that showed Oliva down to Will earlier in the comic. Has three hair tufts and circular eyebrows.
This cat is always blacked out and his eyes has no pupils. This is 'cause I haven't explained who he is yet and I'm his design is actually pretty hard. Anyway, we have seen him a couple other times. Once in the intro story that Tyler told Jo and when Oliva was going to and coming from visiting Will.

Gah, that's what I get for skim reading So we have a mysterious cat who hangs around Will. This is a really out there guess but is he something to do with Rattlesnake? |

Heh heh. *pats* I have small little hints for some things. Not a lot, but some. Well. No, not really. Rattlesnake is actually going to have very little to do with this comic. This character is actually a paranormal from the line of Dream while Will is a paranormal from the line of Rattlesnake. There are only two paranormal lines (kin, family, bloodline, whatever you want to call it). This cat knew Rattlesnake, a bit. But both he and Will weren't really involved in any of the paranormal/normal politics for a very long time.
Come to think of it, this cat was also in the flashback about Will's past/origin. His name's been spoiled several times. We still have yet to face-to-face meet him. |

 After the very long hiatus there is an update! Woooh! And it took ages to remember we haven't had a chapter break recently. I promise those are better timed from this point on.  Explaining weird bramble things!  Knowing who this cat is isn't relevant. But look! Oliva in flashback!  Anyone remember this happening aaaaaaaaaages ago?  Someone guessed something along these lines, didn't they? Hum? Hum?  Oliva becomes a more important character ....... nooooow!  Penny responds to Applebee now, I guess. IT'S BACK!!!
This looks like it's going to be a really cool chapter! I love the drawing for the chapter cover - so pretty, and Marick looks very regal indeed. Wonder what that's going to mean... And it's awesome to see Oliva getting some more of the spotlight. Her power is very interesting, and you cen definitely get a sense of her personality already - her poor denmate!
(This is probably just me being dense, but you might want to check the order of some of the middle pages?)

Oliva is going to get a lot more screentime from this point onward. Will's actually going to tone down a bit of hers, but there is PLOT DEVICE coming up. XD Honestly, I don't know how I got to calling Penny 'Applebee', but Oliva using it as an insult was perfect. Penny's actually really starting to someone I'm attached too.
Also, start paying more attention to those poison marks (the only part of a cat that will ever be blacked out). They're going to start becoming a whole lot more prominent.
As for the pages, that confused me too. The next one is actually switching back to Will again, so we just have one Oliva POV stuck in there. And I didn't get why (I did these pages a good month ago, they're from the small attempt at making progress) until I tried to move them around. But if I do that, then the cut scene between Will saying 'do you?' and what she says after switching back would throw even more of a curve ball. Because what Monny answers is supposed to be important and said off-screen.
Now that I think about it, I think I can change the top page though and make Oliva's POV two pages instead of 1 Oliva, 4 Will, 1 Oliva, and back to Will.

I'm excited for this plot device o.o Applebee does seem to suit Penny as a name - the only question is, do cats in the Will universe know about the restaurant?
Don't make me even more worried D:
The order they're in now makes more sense, I think. Having Will's mysterious introduction to Oliva before we see her in the current time works really well c:

Not unless Rattlesnake reeeeeeeeeally liked Applebee one of the time he shifted into a human. XD Nah. It's probably some influence from twoleg aspects. Since cats also have first and last names (like the two parters to clan names) but they're like a kittypet would name themselves. Worry. Things are coming up. *plays Jaws theme music* Glad to know! Also, a new update will go up on Monday, if I have a say in the matter. |
