Killian Belle-Rose sat at her desk, the perfectly clear glass chair etched flawlessly with gorgeous designs. Her desk was made of the same material, impossibly smooth and slightly glimmery. Killian, knows at Ki-Ki (Pronounced key-key) to friends and customers, could see her reflection - the pastel sea-foam green hair, forest-green eyes with layers and shades of highlights and lowlights. Her skin was a warm caramel, contrasting her hair and eyes with an unnatural but lovely color difference. Her hair was swept to the side, a USB chord connected into the drive on the side of her neck, just under her ear. Only the wealthiest businesses could afford such high-technology - and Ki-Ki was at the very top of the home-making and decor business. Of course, there was a reason....
Welcome to New Pangaea, the year of 2487. Magic had been restored to the land, but only very few select citizens had been gifted with such abilities - one out of a million. Some abilities were nothing but annoying - creating a popsicle, for instance, was not unheard of. However, there were three Mages in the world - and Ki-Ki was most certainly one of them. With the one of a kind ability to create flawless glass from nothing, she was in the home-making business - instant homes with gorgeous decor on the inside, specified to her customers requests. She had quickly risen above any other company, and now at the shockingly young age of nineteen, she was the leading business woman.
The USB gave a small tingle on her neck, making her blink slightly as the idea her brain created flowed into the hovering screen. She altered a few ideas, willing the image to turn and tilt to see from every angle. With a flick of her hand, the file was saved and sent to a customer for review - a three-story, solid-colored home, in the trending cream-white of today with blue-green trimming. The outside would be carved with delicate forestry, waterfalls as pillars holding the room of the sun deck.
With a satisfied "Hmm," Ki-Ki shut everything down with a snap of her fingers, her long black nails elegant and simple. She removed the USB and the insert in her neck seemed to vanish, only to apear again when she wanted her idea projected on the MindScreen. Quiet music leaked from invisible speakers as she stood from her desk and chair, waving her hand at them absentmindedly. Her palm glowed red, and the glass furniture melted into the wall. Ki-Ki tied her hair up into a sloppy bun, her shoulders bare from the sleeveless blouse she wore. Her pretty face had a LiveTat on her jaw - a tiny trail of kitten paw prints 'walking' up to her temple and vanishing, then repeating the process. She had several LiveTats, but were covered by her clothing and skin-tight black bands up her arms.
Her EarVoice chirped, and she tippe dher head to the left to answer the call. She grinned as she heard her best friends voice in her ear, and she chuckled. Yes, a major business woman, but she was still just nineteen - and her best friend was never going too be forgotten. "Yes, yes - i'll be right down, don't you fret."
With a whoosh of her hand, Ki-Ki sat - where air once was, an elegant glass chair let her comfortably relax. The glass floor around her lowered her to the ground, one hundred and fifty stories below her main office. She vanished the chair, the 'elevator' of sorts rising back up to the office she worked in. She waltzed towards her best friend, whose back was to her. Glass heels clipping the ground, a solid white color, probably gave her away but she covered her friends eyes anyways. "Boo."
