❈ -- I guess medicine cats all have sweet scents from their herbs. Waiiitttttt... Yellowfang was described with sour breath so ~~either she's really a mary sue,~~ was born with it, or asked for twoleg breath mints.
Or maybe pretty/handsome cats always have sweet smells

I think that most medicine cats do smell from herbs, especially the ThunderClan ones, as no med cat from other Clan was ever mentioned with sweet smell. Then again, it can be either because they are but just weren't mentioned, or that they have different herbs. Different territories have different smells, as Twigpaw noted in AVOS while she was in ShadowClan. As for Yellowfang, it's noted that other cats have to groom her in StarClan, because she wouldn't do it herself, and I think that it was no different while she was alive. Cinderpelt and Leafpool were also mentioned with sweet herb scent.

Yellowfang probably smells bad due to dental or ear issues. If a cat has an ear infection or something wrong with their teeth it can put out a very sour odor. Not to mention she's elderly, and elderly animals tend to smell a little different than younger animals.
