Crowpaw waited for the queen's muscles to tense, and when he did he meowed, "Push." He wasn't sure how many kits there would be- more experienced medicine cats could tell, or at least guess with a reasonable measure of accuracy, by feeling a queen's belly shortly before birth. The best Crow could guess was more than one, and that guess was derived mostly from the size of her belly and not from how it felt. The more kits, the longer this would take and the more likely something would go wrong.

Crowpaw couldn't help but wince in sympathy at Coldfire's cry of pain. "The first kit will be born any moment now," he told her, "and the rest will quickly follow. You're doing great, just hold on a bit longer." Crowpaw glanced over his shoulder towards the entrance of the den. Where in StarClan is Sweetpaw with that water? He also felt a pang of remorse as he looked back at the queen. I wish Frostwhisker was still here. He should be here to support her and to meet their kits.

'You keep on saying that' she thought crossly, not responding to Crowpaw. She could hear a slight tremble in the soothing tone, but she waved that off as his nerves for doing this on his own. Poor Crowpaw. The white apprentice should have some help from his mentor.
Sweetpaw had been trying to melt some snow, but no avail. The calico finally gave up, picking up the leaf with slush on it, and slipped into the medicine cats den, freezing as she saw how still Coldfire was. She padded up next to Crowpaw, setting down the water, before whispering,
"Is she dead?" Before jumping when Coldfire let out another small cry. No. definitely not den.

"No, she's okay," Crowpaw replied to Sweetpaw, in this case "okay" meaning "not actively dying." There fortunately didn't seem to be any problems, and Crowpaw was optimistic that the rest of the knitting would go smoothly. He didn't think Coldfire would have a problem; he was more worried about the kits. Being born so early, it was entirely possible that they may be too small and weak to survive. But that was a problem, if it did in fact turn out to be a problem, that Crowpaw could do nothing about yet, and so he focused instead on the present.
He glanced at the leaf Sweetpaw had brought, stifling his disappointment in the slush. Still, he couldn't blame her; it was probably just too cold outside to effectively melt the snow. Hopefully the heat of the den would fix that. "Thanks," he meowed to the apprentice, dipping his head to dismiss her. It wasn't that he had a problem with her being here, but he didn't know how Coldfire felt about it, plus he didn't want to crowd the den too much.

(Okay well idk what everyone else is doing with their kits so I'm gonna go ahead and make mine. Let me think....
Small very dark gray, almost black tom with darker legs, tail, and ears. He has very faint tabby markings where his fur darkens, the stripes essentially acting as the shift between lighter and darker fur. The toes on his front left paw are white, as is his tail tip, the bridge of his nose, a small patch on his chest, and a small circle around his left eye. His eyes are pale blue in color, which contrasts strongly against his fur. His florescence is yellow, however, and brightly follows his white markings, as well as more faintly in his eyes, making them look more green in dim light, and outright yellow in the darkness. His florescence also follows a sort of striped pattern up his legs and tail where the fur is darker, as well as on his face and lower back, along his spine, where it is not. It, except where he does have stripes, does not follow the pattern of his fur, and is very faint, so that it can only be seen when it is very, very dark.)

"S-speak for yourself," Coldfire managed to say, irritated at Crowpaw speaking for her. Granted she did probably look a bit dead to the apprentice, but that didn't matter. The Queen shifted, her face scrunching up in pain, wanting it to be over with already.
(Also my kit:
Wolfkit- undersized tom with scruffy dark grey fur. He has Siamese markings, just like his mother, meaning darker grey ears,paws, and tail tip. He also has a darker Blaze of fur over the ridge of his nose and a patch of grey over his left eye. His eyes are heterochomatic- one is a dark golden and the other one is a dark blue, the dark blue eyes pupil is a blind blue. He is partially deaf, not being able to hear whatsoever out of his right ear. He has Ghost markings on his legs, ones that will, eventually disappear. Wolfkit has been sickly since birth- at first he was thought to be still born- but that doesn't stop his want to become a deputy like his uncle. He's timid and jumpy, but as he gets older his siblings will find out how strong the tom can really be. His flouresence is a blue, just like his fathers, one that runs from the tip of his head, down his spine, to his tail tip. The fluorescence covers his back in an almost vine like pattern, but it is almost at a constant faint glow, there are times when it is impossible to see.

(Yeah I'm gonna put his form up once he's born and has a name. I just wanted to run the appearance past sweetclover first. And yeah actually I like the idea of them getting mixed up when cats can't see their eyes or glow very well lol)
