Idelle looked at Damianos "I'm about to do something that's a very bad idea, but it's guaranteed to rile the brothers up. Trust me"
She ran over to the area where Nuellan and Damianos had gone to, and caught sight of the two brothers, drawn out by the commotion
"Hey!" she yelled to catch their attention "You missed one of the chief's family. Why don't you come get me!"
----
Aedan, Eo and Esca were ready, waiting for the moment Damianos would appear to free them all. He looked at Brígh, knowing she would have to wake up soon, otherwise Damianos would have to carry her or something, and that was not something that they needed to deal with.

Morgan swiftly looked up at her yell and blocked a hard attack from Aquila. Yeah... that wasn't suspicious at all. 'Grab the girl.' He ordered to a few of his men, slicing at Aquila's throat and almost silencing him for life. The Roman leapt back and Nuellan caught Morgan across the thighs with his dagger, before sprinting swiftly around to the back of Drustan to do the same as Aquila remained the strong tank of the duo.
-- Damianos pushed open the door, now human, and jogged inside. As he did, Brígh opened her eyes with a gasp, and her raven quickly flew over to her and landed on her shoulder with a caw. 'I'm here, I'm here.' Damianos said to Aedan, releasing him first- he grabbed the chains and leaned back, teeth gritted, before they snapped. He repeated the action, making his way tiringly around the room. Brígh stood and stretched her legs and arms, her violet eyes turning an angry shade of black. 'Death upon this village.' She snarled, storming forwards and slamming open the doors as Damianos began to usher out the Chiefs, who supported each other.

Idelle quickly began leading the men chasing her towards the bulk of the wolf pack, allowing her to shake off her pursuers. They wouldn't be catching up to her anytime soon, and now she had distracted the brothers - certainly Drustan, who had been distracted enough by the yell to allow Nuellan to get a flyby hit on ,him, slicing him across the back of the legs.
---
Eo and Esca supported each other as they hurried out - Esca was young and fast, helping Eo, slowed by her pregnancy, to be able to leave quickly. Soon the building was empty apart from Aedan and Damianos. Aedan pressed a quick kiss on his partner's, it only lasting about a second, before they left to join the others. They couldn't waste a second of time

Brígh was about to go after Morgan, but she saw Damianos escaping, and hesitated. He was of her kind- did she dare lose him? Tensing, she growled and then followed him instead, agitated at not being able to exact revenge. Damianos led the chiefs further and further away until he was confident they couldn't be followed too quickly; he then cupped his hands around his mouth and howled for his pack.
--- Aquila noticed the pack starting to retreat and scooped up Nuellan by the waist, dancing around the brothers and dropping Nuellan again, the two sprinting amongst the wolves as the pack left the village, covering Idelle. Aquila and Nuellan as they ran. 'I can't believe that worked,' Aquila panted, glancing back to examine the carnage.

Idelle caught sight of Damianos with the chiefs and she sprinted forward to meet her family, once they were away from the village.
She stopped in front of Esca first, giving him a soft and warm embrace, pride in her eyes "You were so brave, Esca. My brave son"
Then she stopped and moved to Eo, where both women hugged with tears streaming down their cheeks "Eo...If your child has half of your strength and determination, they will make a fine warrior"
Then she moved to Aedan, and she returned his sword to him. His clipped ear was showing, and she gently reached out to touch it "You are stronger than you know, little brother. You are bigger than your past, and your past has made you stronger and braver than ever"
Finally, though, she looked to Damianos "Thank you so much for bringing them back. I've never met anyone more worthy of Aedan"

Damianos rolled his eyes at her, feeling a little embarrassed at the words that she spoke; he'd never really been much of a poet- more, run in, slashy slashy, yay you're safe! Type of person- and awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck as she praised him. He debated on a cocky response but finally decided that a more humble one would probably put him further into Idelle's good books. 'Thanks, Idelle. But... we really need to keep moving. Come on.' He smiled at Aedan then turned. 'Move out, girls.' The pack milled around him and began to walk, slowly starting to surround the humans of the group, protecting them as they had on the way here.

Idelle laughed as he rolled his eyes "Hey, don't be embarassed"
She slowed to stay with her family, looking over each of them for injuries. Knowing that they were all very proud people, who probably wouldn't appreciate her looking them over, she only glanced over them and made sure they weren't looking as she did so. She had to be sure that they were all okay.
Idelle turned behind her to see the other chiefs. She wondered if it was safe for them to return to their tribes. If not, she would find them somewhere safe to go. She would have to do that. They deserved safety after everything that had happened, and she suspected that leadership would still be down to her for a little while - Aedan didn't see, like he'd be ready to be a leader again for a little while.

As they walked, ravens seemed to accumulate on the trees in front and at their sides, staring down at them with their black eyes. Brígh sped up to catch up to Damianos and held out her hand. 'Hi, I'm Brígh. I'm-' 'The raven that's been following me for about two years?' Damianos replied, looking at her, noting with satisfaction her surprised reaction. 'You have a weird aura around you.' 'So do you.' 'I do?' 'Yeah, it's all red and shimmery. Like fire.' Damianos blinked at her description, and examined hers. 'Yours is more like blood.' He murmured. Brígh grinned viciously. 'Good.' She looked away. 'I'm a demigod.' She said. 'I was following you because I was intrigued; then I noticed how damn helpless you were and decided to help you out. And then i became helpless, and figured you could return the favours.' Damianos burst out laughing at her reasoning. 'Well... you're welcome, I suppose?' 'You're welcome,' she grinned back, looking up at him with twinkling eyes full of mischief. 'So where are you from?' 'Ah... my tribe was killed.' She replied. 'All of them slaughtered. Now I need to find my two sons.' Her gaze darkened with anger. 'They're back there somewhere- I just need to wait for Morgan to bring his stupid gang of warriors to attack somewhere else.'

Aedan sped up to the pair when he saw her introducing herself.
"I knew it was you, Brígh. Back there, you said something like 'hurry up, wolf' and I knew it was Damianos you were talking about. So, if your tribe is gone, will you and your sons have anywhere to go? If not, you're more than welcome in our tribe. No one will bat an eye to any new additions"
He owed her somewhere to go, he felt. It was because of her that Damianos and the others were able to actually get inside the camp. That meant he owed her his freedom, and he hated owing people things. So if he could repay her with a home he would be more than happy to do so.

Brígh jumped a little as Aedan joined the conversation, and looked at him as he spoke. 'Are you sure?' She asked. 'I'd appreciate that.' She nodded, looking away from him with a small smile. 'You're a lucky man, Aedan.' She sighed, glancing over at Esca and Idelle, then away again with a more angry expression. Damianos felt her pain and quietly looked away, perking up as the village came into view. 'We're here.' He said, sighing with relief.

Aedan had felt incredibly sorry for Brígh in that moment, and he murmured "We'll get them back for you"
And then the village came into sight, and Aedan immediately changed, calling his sister over.
"Idelle," he began "I need you to give the chiefs places to stay, and will you please make sure Brígh is given a place here for as long as she needs. I'm going to organise the tribe and the cleaning up of the village after the attack, and then I'll meet you inside. We are going to need to lay low for a while in case the brothers decide to come back here"

'They will come back here.' Brígh and Damianos echoed, before looking at each other and blinking, Damianos grinning shyly while Brígh laughed. 'We need fear.' Brígh murmured. 'We need to scare them.' 'And how do you propose we do that?' Called Nuellan from in front, looking back with a raised eyebrow.
She looked up at Damianos, a sly smile on her lips. 'A little demigod magic should do it.' 'Magic?' Damianos laughed. 'I'm just strong and can turn into a wolf.' 'I wasn't talking about you.' She purred, 'though you will be the one I project it onto.' 'No Thankyou.' He nervously responded. 'I'll show you. Just wait.' She promised, before skipping ahead to walk with the head of the pack, her eyes glimmering with the mischief of a crow.

Aedan sighed "Okay, great. Is there any part of this that will require non-demigod people? I mean, we have a lot of people in the tribe. Perhaps there is a way we can help as well. And surely the Lykos have fear factor?"
He wanted to make full use of their resources if possible, though he wasn't sure that they would need it. Perhaps they could solve this just using Brígh and Damianos, though he didn't see how a little extra help wouldn't hurt.
He hated being kept in the dark though, and he was agitated with the irritation of not knowing exactly what was planned.

Damianos looked helplessly at Aedan and shrugged, noticing Brígh grinning at her partner, her wolfish grin putting the Lykos to shame. He shivered and moved a little closer to Aedan, before wrapping an arm around his waist, protectively. 'Can you... not get captured again?' He leisurely asked, looking down at the Celt with a raised eyebrow to indicate humour, but pain and worry in his eyes.

Aedan smiled, moving closer to his partner "Okay, as long as you promise not to get yourself hurt like that again," he joked.
He paused then, before continuing "Okay, but seriously though, I'm sorry. I rushed in without thinking, but that was my family. I promise I'll be more careful next time - I've been captured enough to last me a lifetime"

'I understand, Aedan.' Damianos soothed him, pressing a kiss to Aedan's temple. 'But I don't particularly want you getting captured either.' He said, grinning. 'Now let's go strengthen up the village and protect the clan.' He pulled him on and quickened their pace, determined to beat the two brothers into hades if necessary. He'd drag them down with him if he lost.

Aedan nodded "Okay. Promise me you'll be careful too, though. I wouldn't ever be able to forgive myself if you got hurt. Make sure Brígh takes good care of you, okay? Don't risk yourself. I'd rather have you alive than anything else in the world. I don't care what happens, just come out of that with your life."
With that, he headed with him to organise the tribe, taking a deep breath.

Damianos blushed at the concern and care in Aedan's word and voice, shyly glancing away. Once they'd set up the village to be greater defensively, Brígh approached them. 'Here's the plan, and I need the whole village in on it. I need you all to set up spiked poles out on the field, pointing at an angle so if anybody runs on them, they get pierced; I need flame torches set up around the field as well, and surrounding the village walls. The Lykos need to remain in their wolf forms and once the brothers approach with their... army of sorts, I need you all to howl as eerily as possible.' Damianos blinked, writing down what she needed. 'As the wolves howl, you will all sing to the Morrigan. Her song is dark but it is eerie and will fill me with enough power... to make Damianos our final scare-factor.' She looked at him. 'In your were form, you are ridiculously large with huge, glowing, red eyes. I'm going to surround you with ravens and you are going to approach the enemy on your own, snarling and snapping your jaws.' Damianos nodded slowly, seeing where she was going with this; the brothers would most likely arrive here at night, and with all of these factors coming together, it would be the ultimate horror show.

Aedan nodded "I'll get to work on that straight away."
He stepped away from the pair and began instructing the village, having half making the stakes and half setting them up. Once the stakes were set up it would be dark enough to begin work on the torches. It would all be sorted by the time the brothers arrived, hopefully. If they could just be quick enough,

Once the stakes were set up it would be dark enough to begin work on the torches. It would all be sorted by the time the brothers arrived, hopefully. If they could just be quick enough, ((She'd have the best decorations on Halloween xD)) It took a few hours only, which was a great relief to Brígh, who could then get to work on ensuring everything was in the correct place and that people knew what they were doing. Dark began to fall and the Lykos transformed into their wolf forms, milling silently like ghosts around the village. Damianos moved over to Aedan, quiet as a phantom as he sat beside him and pushed his head into his hand, feeling worried for the village and his family.

Aedan smiled as Damianos pushed his head into his hand.
"Hey, it's okay. I'll be waiting for you in the roundhouse. Stay safe, okay? Brígh will take care of you, I'm sure. But look after yourself. I'll take care of everything here, and I'm sure Esca will be staying awake to see you come back"
Truth was, the boy was still traumatised and probably wouldn't sleep much that night anyway. But Aedan would take care of him.

Damianos released a low whine in response, gazing up at Aedan sadly as he licked his fingers with a soft and warm tongue. He then stood and hesitantly walked away, glancing back at Aedan a few more times before joining Brígh, allowing his eyes to flood with red as she began to speak to him in hushed tones. One of the wolves came running into the village, and Brígh straightened. 'They're here!!! Light the village torches, everyone start singing!' Damianos barked at the Lykos, who slowly tipped back their heads and released a mournful chorus of howls, high pitched wails of the younger pups dipping and shivering between deeper bass tones. Damianos stood and walked to the gate of the village, and it was then that Brígh raised her arms, murmuring softly under her breath- Damianos began to walk forwards, and a murder of crows suddenly flew down from the nearby trees, cawing loudly as they flew around his body. A second murmured spell from Brígh revealed the fire-like aura to mortal eyes, and Damianos looked like a vision of hell. He bared flashing white fangs at the approaching warriors, and dared them to come any closer.
---
'What... is that.' Morgan said, staring down at the village with wide eyes, his gaze set sternly on the monster that was very slowly prowling towards them. He looked to drustan to see what he thought they should do, shivering at the sound of howls and the deep singing of prayers to the morrigan. The entire scene was horrifying to behold.

Aedan was sitting beside Esca in the roundhouse, trying to help calm the boy, who was still frightened and in shock. He had forgotten. When he was eighteen it had a similar effect on him, captivity. And Esca was only twelve
Idelle had joined in with the singing, eyes set on the men approaching and on Damianos, praying that everything would go to plan.
-------
"Well...." Drustan began "Not to question you, but is this really worth it? This is a village of demons. Perhaps better we do no aggravate it."

Brígh watched with baited breath, sending more Ravens to fly over the soldiers and dive among them. Two boys were surrounded by the screaming birds, and covered in a cloak of beating feathers, they silently slid into the darkness and escaped the ranks of Morgan and Drustan's army.
Damianos watched, releasing a loud, echoing bark for effect, feeling a fierce sense of amusement when it echoed over the moors. He glanced to the left and saw with great satisfaction that Brigh's sons had taken the decoy and left, and moved forwards again, releasing a loud, aggressive howl.
---
Morgan silently stared at Damianos, before slowly pulling his horse back. '...there are other villages.' He murmured, swinging his horse around and kicking it forwards, leading the army away. 'And this one is most definitely not worth it. Even men do not anger gods.' He muttered, a shiver crawling up his spine.

It was Idelle who ushered the boys in through the gates, pulling them towards where their mother would be waiting for them. The boys seemed alright - they were unijured, thankfully. She had no idea how their mother would react if they had gotten hurt.
Aedan smiled as he heard the singing stop, thankful that the plan had worked. That must mean that Damianos had gotten through alright

Drustan nodded in agreement with his brother as he too turned away "Let us just hope that we have not angered them already"
