{{ Eugh, it's so good I'm dyin. Did you watch episode 9? The ending killed me. }}
Antoinette settled herself in one of the chairs comfortably, almost sighing in content as the warm air enveloped her entirely. In her opinion, a fireplace's heat was better than any hug. But then again, she didn't know what a hug felt like. It had been far too long.
She listened to Dan as he spoke, fingers drumming against the armrest. She noted that he was eager, far too eager for her to handle. In a way, he reminded her of herself back in the day, when she was young and innocent. When she was at peace with the world and herself. It was nostalgic to say in the least and Antoinette found herself reminiscing the past.
She was so caught up in her thoughts, she almost missed his last sentence. From what she heard, he seemed to be belittling her just a bit. Commenting on her actions and her decisions on how she lived. She knew that it wasn't a healthy way to go about things, but no one could really tell her what to do.
"I don't touch anyone to avoid any unnecessary hurt." She muttered, resting her chin in her hands as she gazed up at the figure standing before her, eyes flashing. "Initiating physical contact hurts both the target, as well as myself. I've tried many remedies to solve the issue, but I've stayed the same. It's not as if can't control my ability, but it causes far too much pain nonetheless. Evading contact just makes the problem easier."
Hopefully, this conversation would end soon and Antoinette could go back to her apartment and seclude herself from the rest of the world. She had no classes today, and apparently coming to the library had been a bad idea. If Dan knew this was a spot she frequented, she would have to stop. That hurt her a lot more than one could imagine, but she thought it would be for the best.
"You can try the meditations and everything else I've recommended. Despite relying on touch, our abilities are still slightly different. Perhaps you'll have a better chance at succeeding than I have." She shrugged nonchalantly, looking away from him to stare into the fire.
