➳ i was thinking of just a cute cliche plot with a dragon and dragon slayer.
muse a is a dragon. All dragons have some sort of power, be it telekenisis, firebending, aura-reading, healing, etc, and muse a happens to be able to shapeshift. This said, while muse a is usually in their natural form, that of a dragon, they may also take on the form of other animals when it's handy, even that of a pesky human. However, their power is limited. They can only do this for less than half the day if they really stretch their power. muse b is striving to be a member of the king's court. Anyone can become a knight through skill and training, but to be part of the court you have to train in the magical arts and use said arts to defeat a monster, so hearing of the nearby mountains stocked full of dragons (the weaker/younger dragons usually resorting to lower spots,) they decide to venture out and slay a dragon as their rite of passage. muse a is the first dragon they meet, only muse a is pretending to be a human that was kidnapped by a dragon. they don't realize that this means muse b is going to try to "rescue" them and slay the dragon that "kidnaped" them.

well I can take Muse A if that's okay?
Vulthuryol || Unknown Age || Female, as it constantly takes feminine forms and has a lighter voice than that of other dragons

➳ "The King has let it be known that any member of the guard that seeks to join his royal court shall take two months leave and return with the head of a beast slayed by magic," the messenger announced. He was quite the actor; at least, his voice was very dramatic. Maybe it was just the result of having to yell over the normal chatter of the knight's quarters. Lux had to imagine that he'd be relaying this message over and over similarly.
But, he took the message in stride. He was interested in the proposal; he already knew a lot of magic. He could even perform some himself, so should he go out and try to slay a beast? Should he seek a spot on the court?
Well, getting two months off from training and guard duty at the kingdom walls didn't sound all that bad. The only downside would be if he returned with nothing to show for it, so he'd have to make it worth his while.
So, he did. He took off at once. His first venture, of course, was to become more skilled at magic. Finding a sorcerer within the city and devoting his days to that wasn't too terrible. He figured that the more time he spent training with magic, the less it would take to kill a beast.
Now, two weeks in, he had finally set out to find a beast. He'd decided what type: it would be a dragon. They were rumored very easy to find, and since they lived alone, he wouldn't get into a sticky situation involving multiple beasts against only one of him. Plus, they were rumored to live on a mountain range nearby, and he was betting that the strongest ones would probably stay at the top of the mountains, so he wouldn't have to climb far before finding one he could beat.

Vulthuryol was taking a breather from the other dragons. They themselves could be a handful- as the humans would say- and she was getting irritated by the second every single times they showed their massive heads around. So it was no surprise when her massive frame shrunk to the extent of a small female. Her violet hues blinked slowly, and her platinum hued hair was pulled back out of her face, save for the long and soft tendrils that came down from her temples. It was nicer being in this form than that of the dragon when admiring nature.
She thought she had been alone as she travel, until she heard that of the crunching footsteps of a person. She had been a human for a good couple hours already, so she was beginning to appear a bit weak already. Good thing it wasn't faltering yet. Her lips pursed, eyes turning over the stranger before she crouched and slowly peering around the tree continuously. How peculiar. No human ever dared head towards the mountain unless they had a death wish or they were simply trying to find a short cut. But even then, they had been smart enough to pack appropriately and take a map to avoid any of the dragons. Just because the younger dragons gathered around the mountain, didn't mean they were weak.
A soft little cry escaped her lips, which had sounded like a small growl of pain as she collapsed onto her side and gripped at the dirt. It seemed like claw marks were being made, but she didn't mind. All she could do was spare a glance at her foot, seeing as it felt as if were throbbing in pain for a brief moment. She twisted it- how cliché. Giving a scowl, her teeth glinted for a brief moment before she regained composure. "E-excuse me!" she called out to the traveler whom seeked to be within the king's courts. Vulthuryol could only hope she was loud enough that he heard her.
