{Hey! Here's the starter. I don't know the length of your posts so just reply in your usual length and I'll try to match you}
Felix knelt on the back of a cart, which was parked in a square outside of the Coliseum in Rome among more than a dozen others.
His real name was Aedan, for he was from Britain, the land of the Celts. His tribe had been the last to fall to Rome, perhaps thanks to his efforts in the final battle. The battle in which he was taken. But he heard, months after he had been taken, simply from gossip on the streets, that his tribe too had fallen. The Romans now wanted to sweep north into Caledonia (Scotland), but he figured it would fall as well.
He longed for his home, for the sweet smell that permeated the landscape, for the cool air, whipped by the seas. For the mountains, rolling and green. The Romans always complained that it was grey and wet and miserable, but to Felix, it was his home. It pained him to hear Romans complain about a place that he would give anything to return to.
When he had been taken from battle, he had been renamed, and they now called him Felix. Which the 23-year-old gladiator found cruel in its irony, considering it meant 'Luck'. His life, he couldn't help but thinking, was anything but lucky. He was a slave, in a place where they called his people savages and barbarians, in a place where he was pitted against others in battle for nothing but entertainment. In a place where his life was not his own
His blond head was bent as he knelt, his hands behind his back. His skin was very pale, so pale one could almost miss the silvery scars along his back from years of whipping. His blue eyes were shut, his face hidden behind his pale hair. The only things showing of his face were his ears, one of which wasclipped, marking him out as a slave.
Free Roman citizens circled the carts, examining the gladiators, deciding which ones to place bets on in the upcoming fights. Felix was popular, because he was Celtic, which made him quite exotic to the Romans. He had also been a gladiator for 5 years, long enough to develop the kind of sinewy muscle that drew potential betters' attention.

{As I was typing up my reply, I realized how much I don't know about the Roman Empire hehe...so I have no clue what I am typing. Do you think we can rp it in a different time period?}

(Sure, we can pick a different one, although I don't know what other period would fit to be honest. If you want though I can help you out. It doesn't have to be exactly accurate)

{I was thinking more along the lines of medieval, because your character can be a servant/slave and we can have him be a knight of enemy lands who was captured and said to be hanges after not giving them the information they wanted?}

[Hmm, interesting. I like it.
If you wanted to make the charries a little younger, there are a lot of stories where young princes/princesses were given to kingdoms which had conquered theirs, as insurance that the rulers of the conquered kingdoms wouldn't rebel.
So maybe my character is a prince who had been given to this kingdom which had just conquered theirs, and of which your character is the princess. Their father rebels and your character's father decided to kill my guy because their parents didn't keep their end of the deal?]

[Shemurr I feel like this is sort of badly written XD sorry]
Flavian had suspected his fate for a few days, when he had been moved from his normal, plain quarters within the palace to the damp darkness of the dungeons. Something was wrong. His father must have done something.
When an attendant had come to take him before the king, a heavy leaden dread settled in his stomach, and everything was a blur until he found himself kneeling before the king of a kingdom that was not his own.
"Prince Flavian, you are aware, I am sure, that you were given to us as a child as a symbol of your father's solemn promise to never lead his kingdom against us…" began the king, and Flavian knew his first fears were coming true.
It was true; he had been living in this kingdom since he was fifteen, and he was almost twenty now (unless you want him older idk). Nothing had happened, but he supposed his father had finally cut his losses and betrayed his son.
"Your father has led an uprising against this kingdom, and I cannot let this go unpunished. He broke a vow, sand he left you as a symbol of that vow. As a punishment for this, it is my order that you should be executed within the week, in over to show your father that we cannot overlook is actions"
Flavian had not dared move, and how he only bowed his head lower, so his chestnut brown fair fell over his face.

Arabella would have gasped in fright for what is to become of the prince or beg to not let him die, but that was if she was not of her status. Arabella was told how a lady should act, how a lady should speak, and how a lady must dress among other things. She wouldn't dare interrupt her father with begging and crying over someone he only took care of because he had to for the sake of peace. It was true that she did not know him very well, but she thought it to be wrong that someone's own father had practically given their child over to be killed and knowingly doing so. Her brown eyes were filled with worry, but her face didn't show the same expression. She stayed relatively calm, as panicking would do no good. Arabella stared down at the man kneeling down before her and her father. Why she was brought to see this, she did not know, and frankly did not want to. But there had to be something she could do. Anything.
Arabella didn't look at her father as she spoke, only at the young man before her, "Father, why must we kill him? Can I not have him as a servant or even a slave? Why can't we tell his father's kingdom that we killed him while he still lives?" She inquired. She tried to keep her voice steady, and to never let it falter while she spoke. Her real thoughts or emotions of what is happening must never show through if she wanted anything to be done her way.

Flavian listened now as a voice challenged the king's. A voice he had heard many times before but a voice belonging to a person to whom he had never spoken. The princess, Arabella.
"Well, now, Arabella" the king responded doubtfully "If we were to do this, what duties would you propose he serve around the palace, considering that he must be kept a closely-guarded secret?"
Flavian didn't dare make a sound, or move now; he could hardly believe that the king was reconsidering. He did not want to move, in case he was imagining it and he broke the spell his mind was creating.
Surely, his future did not look so bright; he would never go home. But it undoubtedly was looking more bright now than it had moments ago, considering that his fate had been confined to execution.
Flavian was a tall but relatively well-built young man, with the build of something of a sportsman. His hair was chestnut brown, and his eyes were a strange grey, which seemed to change colour in the light, sometimes appearing grey as flint, sometimes bright blue, and sometimes deep green.

@blubberywhales - Hey! I figured that you'd sort of either forgotten about this or decided you didn't want to rp it, which I totally understand. But I saw that you were looking to do a medieval rp, so I thought I'd draw your attention here in case you'd forgotten it X)
