Sedgewhisker is no mere WindClan cat- she has no WindClan blood, actually. Her parents are Heavystep and Mousefur, two elders who befriended eachother during the Great Journey.

What happened?

Heavystep fell in love with the ThunderClan cat, and then he made her fall in love with him. They mated and had a kit, Sedgekit. Mousefur didn't want to raise her in ThunderClan, so she gave him to RiverClan. Heavystep wasn't ready to be a father, so he gave his kit to Beechfur. Beechfur, in turn, gave the kit to his mate, Gorsetail.
