I like to think that they'd ask to stay un-apprenticed and then their leader would let them. I don't think there's a code against it though, so it should be fine. I think it'd be a new side we haven't really seen before too.

Depends on the leader. Generally speaking, it would probably go like ^^^. But if a cat under, say, Onestar's reign was in that situation, he/she'd probably be apprenticed regardless.

I feel like it wouldn't be accepted, since it would be considering not pulling your own weight which is frowned upon. The Clan would probably just say, "Being an apprentice is no big deal. You'll get used to it in no time!" and force them into it.

If I was leader, I would just make them clean out the elder's den and pull their weight that way until they're ready to go out of camp and do the fun apprentice stuff. I think I'd still make them an apprentice, but give them a mentor who is stern, yet patient. They have to work and do something, but it can be in camp until they're comfortable leaving.

I think I would go that way too... The Clans need all the warriors they can get, and holding an apprentice back is only going to make them weaker (and might not help with the apprentice's mental readiness if they are anxious about being an apprentice in the first place). There are other ways they can help with the clan until they're ready to participate in things like battle. And a suitable mentor would know about those things and when their apprentice would be ready.
