I think I have seen topics whereas people think that Breezepelt will redeem himself because he is a parent now, or at least I think that's what Kate is trying to do. But is is possible?
To redeem yourself, you have to realize what you have done was wrong. But I don't believe Breezepelt ever did this. In fact, in Dovewing's Silence Breezepelt is shown to act smug when Ivypool told the Clans at the Gathering why the Dark Forest trainees were there.
Breezepelt wanted revenge. He was not misunderstood. He knew what he was doing and he wanted revenge on Crowfeather.
Honestly, Breezepelt had his chances to take the right path. I'm pretty sure his mentor Whitetail was good to him, and heck even Nightcloud was a good mother at the beginning, shown in The Sight. But instead Breezepelt followed the Dark Forest warriors, and he didn't let go of his grudge over Crowfeather. He wanted his siblings to die and was happy that Hollyleaf died. He was even willing to kill a pregnant cat who had nothing to do with his quarrel with Jayfeather!
Breezepelt had his chances to change. He had cats who cared about him. Heck, I think, despite for being an idiot by letting him stay in his Clan, his own leader cares about him! If Onestar was completely disgusted and never cared then Breezepelt would have been exiled. And Breezepelt had Heathertail as a friend who cared about him.
Breezepelt had support. He had cats who cared about him. Heathertail was shown multiple times to be supportive of him even when his father wasn't the greatest around him.
Breezepelt just doesn't care. He chose his own path to train and believe in the Dark Forest warriors because he was too angry with Crowfeather. What was his excuse? Crowfeather didn't give him attention. But Breezepelt had support from many other cats.. it was only his father who doesn't seem to love him as a parent should.
I think Breezepelt just overreacted over everything. I know Crowfeather was not a good father to him but Breezepelt had so much support from many cats. Breezepelt was a full grown warrior who made his own choices in the end to betray his Clan and do all of the bad things he did. Personally, I think it's too late for Breezepelt to change, even if he is a good father. Being a good father isn't enough compared to everything else he has done. Sure, you can argue that he didn't kill Poppyfrost, but threatening to kill her is bad enough. And do you really think that Breezepelt will even want to go to StarClan anyway? Breezepelt enjoys the Dark Forest. He hates StarClan. I do not believe that Breezepelt will go to StarClan when he dies. If he goes to the Dark Forest, I think he will choose to go there himself.

Breezepelt was looking smug and Dovewing felt an urge to rake his ears. She was sure he hadn't wanted to be a better WindClan warrior. He had wanted power and strength, that was all.
Breezepelt wanted revenge. He was not misunderstood. He knew what he was doing and he wanted revenge on Crowfeather.
"I have told you that you must seek vengeance," Tigerstar reminded him. "With our help, you can take revenge on every cat who has betrayed you."
Breezepelt's gaze grew hungry as the dark warrior went on.
"And on every cat who stood by and did nothing while the others claimed what was yours as their own."
"Starting with Crowfeather." Breezepelt snarled his father's name. - Fading Echos, prologue
