There is a mysterious brown dog to the far left, positioned halfway behind Fiery, on the Darkness Falls cover.
Who are they?

You can see that there is a mysterious brown dog positioned halfway behind Fiery.
Maybe they're supposed to be Bruno, but Bruno isn't entirely brown like that. He's supposed to be a German shepherd/Chow Chow mix:
Note the prominent GSD features, notably the black snout, contrasting with the paler rest of the coat sharply. This dog, however, has a muzzle that is brown—corresponding to the rest of their coat—rather than black, or so it appears, in addition to a white bib of fur on their chest. They are also a different shade of brown than the Bruno portrayed on the Into the Shadows cover, to the far right, behind Breeze and tailing the pups.
