A short story of sorts, I guess.
Doesn't make a lot of sense, I know. But I'm just trying some stuff out.
kind of inspired by Interlude by My Chemical Romance and Bang Bang - My Baby Shot Me Down by Nancy Sinatra.
```
Rain showers like bullets against the exterior. A cold gale howls outside of the walls. Chaos continues to ensue right on the doorstep.
But on the inside, equally cold fingers press up against a window. Lifeless hazel eyes stare out into the abyss of night, watching the moonlight shining from the clouds reflect on the raindrops, painting them a cool silver.
He's stuck.
His breath doesn't mist up in the air like it used to. His footsteps don't echo down the hallway like they used to. Nothing was like it used to be.
In his eyes, in his freezing, empty eyes, he sees a house. His own house. It's quiet. Vacant. Lonely. It's empty. Driveway clear of any cars. Lawn almost beginning to look overgrown and unkempt. Abandoned.
With one light on.
But the ravens see something else on their perch.
Upon a branch, through the window, they see an awful sight.
Slumped over, the man seemingly stares into nothingness with wide, unblinking eyes. A bottle rolls out of his hand, the label shining in the gleam created by the room's light fixture.
They all wonder, why?
Why did he do it?
He had so much to live for.
A scream cracks the silence.
Sirens continue to cripple it.
Tears dampen it.
Flashing blue, red, and white lights illuminate it.
Yelling breaks it.
The flatline deadens it.
-----------------------------
The light blinks out.
