Raggedstar threw a fit because Yellowfang wanted to be a medicine cat. He would constantly guilt-trip her and used Foxheart to make her jealous.

Bumblestripe guilt-tripped Dovewing when she snapped at him by accident, and later on when she apologized and said it wasn't her fault for not sharing feelings, Bumblestripe got angry with her and left her. Dovewing honestly had every right to be angry then.

Is it me, or are there just so many cats similar to Ashfur (only difference is that they didn't try to burn their family alive)? These cats couldn't accept no for an answer and threw a fit about it. Dovewing and Yellowfang were constantly guilt-tripped over it.

Too many? That's only two that you've named. But I get what you mean. Still, it does make things a bit more realistic since not everyone is going to be happy over a breakup or being rejected and some will try these sort of tactics to win their object of affection over as terrible as it sounds, and unlike AshxSquirrel, RaggedxYellow and BumblexDove were at least actual couples, even though Dovewing didn't really love Bumblestripe the way he loved her and even then they seem to at least be on decent terms now.

Honestly, I feel like the Ashfur character archetype is overdone, even though there's only been a small amount of them. It was cool and interesting the first time, but that's it.These traits ravanged Bumblestripe; he started as a somewhat likable character, and came out of the whole mess as cringy and unbearable.

Yes, I think you're right about that... Being upset or not accepting a mate doesn't or can't love you is understandable, realistic, and okay. Throwing a fit about it, especially when it's a high-ranking cat like a leader is not... In fact, the only differences between the cases you mentioned and Ashfur is that no one besides him has tried to use their anger over being rejected to hurt others (who's to say if that could happen in the future again though).
