When Tawnypelt told Bramblestar that ShadowClan needed help to fight the badgers, did she betray her Clan? Rowanstar told Bramblestar no. And, like the warrior code said, the Clan leader's word is law. But Tawnypelt refused to listen, because she was desperate for her Clan to survive. I think Tawnypelt did betray her Clan - but it was the right thing to do. If the badgers kept fighting ShadowClan, they would have been driven out, possibly killed. Rowanstar was too prideful and a fool for not accepting help. There is a good and a bad side to this decision - but both situations are understandable.

But like, every time Tawnypelt asked Bramblestar for help, she was always carrying prey. That bothered me. Made it seem like ShadowClan could survive on their own.

I don't think she betrayed ShadowClan. Otherwise they may have been severely injured, if they hadn't gotten help.

She technically did considering not even Rowanstar knew about it, but it was out of good intentions. But that still doesn't change the fact that she still went behind Rowanstar's back to get ThunderClan involved with ShadowClan's problem with the badgers and unintentionally got them involved with their kittypet problem as well. Just like how Fireheart went behind Bluestar's back to warn Tallstar of her wanting to attack WindClan or how Hollypaw went behind Firestar's back to make sure RiverClan were okay. All had good intentions, but they still went behind their leader's backs nonetheless.

It's betrayal without malicious intent. Disobeying your leader is breaking the code, however she did it out of desperation to save her Clan.

Technically, yes, but then again it ended up being the right decision.
I don't really see any problem with it. She's still on good terms with Rowanstar now.
