So from what I'm hearing everyone turned against Rowanstar because Shadowclan was too peaceful and they want the old way back. How would they all feel if they went back in time and had Brokentail as their leader? What do you guys think?
For me I think they'll be scared and wished they didn't want the old Shadowclan back and be happy about how peaceful Shadowclan is.

I think you're right about that, but one also has to realize that they turned against Rowanstar when there Clan was in a desperate state of weakness… Of course they want a strong and almost bloodthirsty reign, because that's what they think will protect them from the horrible things that happened…
Effectively, they're confusing times of weakness with times of peace, because getting the old way back does not mean they will necessarily be peaceful even if they are strong… But in their state of desperation, they don't realize that, and think that excessive strength will bring them peace…
In the time of Brokenstar, the Clan was at peace and powerful, so everyone was shocked and eventually no one wanted him there. In the time of Darktail, they were powerless, so that's why they were more accepting of him…

If Brokenstar suddenly came back to life and took over ShadowClan, they would all be extremely sorry. None of these cats were alive when Brokenstar was in control, so of course they don't understand the extreme conditions ShadowClan cats had to endure during these times. As soon as he would get control of them, he would exile the elderly and the weak. Some cats may be fine with that, until they find themselves in that position. Whether it be from injury, sickness, or whatever. The ShadowClan cats of today would eventually find themselves being kicked out for being too weak to serve the Clan.
From there, they would have to watch their abundance of kits and young apprentices be slaughtered in battle and have no power to stop it. Unlike before, living to reach six moons would be a rare accomplishment, and if you did make it to then you would be subject to a lifetime of servitude and war, while also starving to death because only the strongest cats would bother to hunt, and they would eat all the prey for themselves.
Needletail and her friends would not like having to obey orders either. They already hate taking simple commands, so imagine how they will feel when they are being bossed around by Brokenstar, who isn't as lenient. And since they are too lazy to hunt and do chores, they only contribute to the downfall of ShadowClan as cats die around them. Then once not enough cats are left to support Brokenstar, ShadowClan falls again into the mess it was after Brokenstar's first exile. All of his allies are killed or exiled as well, and sent to live on their own.
Now ShadowClan is worse off than it ever was with Rowanstar. They have no leader or deputy, half their cats are dead or malnourished, their kits are either dead or covered in wounds from battles. Greencough or some other sickness would come along again to pick off some more cats, which makes them even weaker.
Basically if this happened they would just be repeating the history of ShadowClan's first downfall by wishing this, and they are also putting their own lives at risk.
