Naming SystemLavenderclan, has many different ranks, though before we get in to that. I’d like to go through our naming system. We do not have your standard, kit, paw, usual warrior name, then star. Instead ours resembles more of a tribe, but our names also progresses.
During ages of kits, and trainees. I’ll use my name as an example. When you're in that age period, you would be called, Wind.
As you progress, depending on the chieftess or the chief's decision you will have a certain name. Like mine was Wind that Blows [through something]. You will have that name if your path was chosen to be a Hawker, or a Warlord, and if you are chosen to be the Appointee.
The Chief or Chieftess always has to end with Lavender, or 'the Lavender'. It show the sign of leadership.
Finally the name that would be for the Curer of the clan, and Curer's Trainee. Would have to be. ending with an herb, besides Lavender. No one knows why, but it has been that way in the clans history for the longest time.
Examples: Kit/Trainee: Wind
Hawker/Warlord/Appointee: Wind that blows through the Heather
Chief/Chieftess: Wind that blows the Lavender
Curer: Wind that blows through the thyme (other example: Shade that's under the Juniper.)RankingChieftess/Chief: This rank is the leader of the clan. They lead the clan, make the biggest decision, and are looked up to with the highest respect. They are allowed to have a mate, but usually females are frowned upon for it. TheChiefChieftess is not appointed, out of random. They as an appointee when they are a kit. The Chieftess, or Chief are not given nine lives, but they have a spirit animal that is supposed to take care of them. Which is usually a bird of prey, though Nova does not give them one. A spirit animal finds them.
Appointee: The Appointee is the second highest rank. Which makes them the Deputy in a regular clan. Unlike regular clans they are picked as a kit, and not appointed, by the skill, and how many trainees they have. Yes it makes it difficult, when they are young. So one of the parents take care of the job, until their kit is a trainee then, they work in all skills to rule a clan. So both a hawker and a Warlord. They take over the clan if something happens to the chief or chieftess.
Curer, and Curer Trainee: These are obviously the medicine cats of the clan. They strive to heal all the cats of the clans and keep them happy. The Curer apprentice is picked as a kit by the Curer themselves, and the kit will grow up as a Curer. Most of the time it is the Curer’s child who becomes the next curer. Speaking of that, the only way that a Curer can have a mate, is if the Curer is a male. No female curers can have a mate.
Hawkers: Hawkers are the cats in the clans who choose to hunt instead of fight. They are your typical warriors, though only does part of the job. They are usually lithe cats, who are quick on their feet, but there is still bigger size Hawkers, which is good for bigger prey. Hawkers can have mates, and they are not appointed it is a choice thing.
Warlords: Warlords unlike Hawkers, they fight instead of hunt. They prefer protecting their clan from threats rather than hunt for prey. They tend to be larger in size, but not necessarily have to be. Like Hawkers they can have mates, and they are not appointed, it is just a choice, they chose as kits.
Trainees: Trainees are like your normal apprentice, but they can either choose to be a Warlord, or a Hawkers apprentice. Like apprentices, they cannot have mates until, they are officially a Warlord, or Hawker. Each Trainee with have either one or two mentors, since the cats believe that having to different prospective of things, are great to have.
Kits: Kits, are just kits. They are the new generation of the clan. They are born into this world, but are too young to become a Trainee. They are stuck with the Kit-Bearer’s in the nursery.
Kit-Bearer’s: Which are the queens of the clan. They are the cats that have become impregnated with other cats kits. They need to stay in the nursery and care for the kits, but they both are able to get out in the camp itself.
Senior: Also known as elder. They are some of the wisest cats in the clan. They have done service towards the clan, and deserve a time of rest, until death comes. They are highly respected, and are gone to for stories of the older times.

ReligionAnother thing that Lavenderclan does differently. Is that we do not believe in starclan, but in a different Ancestor. Nova, also known as Super Nova, or Novaclan. They are our ancestors, and they find a place in the stars and watch over us. They try to help guide us, but we know that they can’t do everything. Since all they are is cat’s of our past, but they can help guide us to the best of their abilities. We do a sacrifice every halfmoon to Nova. The Curer has to do the sacrificing to them. It is due to the fact that in the stars they have no prey. Though the biggest piece of prey in are pile will feed them until next halfmoon, and we do it over and over again. How the Curer does it, you are wondering? It is simple. The curer, and his or her apprentice takes it to a hidden cave, and they throw it into the water below. It is to be told when the moon shines on it, the water heats up, boiling the prey into nothing. Though due to the sacrifice, Nova is more willing to answer to the Curers questions, and they speak to one another. These ancestors are not like starclan. They have the power to punish the clan greatly, and crucially. They are tyrant like, and since the clans cannot do anything to stop them because of fear, and possible punishment. Another thing that you need to take in mind is that the cat's of Nova choose who comes into Novaclan, and if a cat is not chosen to come in Novaclan, their souls are stuck in the cave, where the Curer has to sacrifice the prey.
The Laws
The laws of Nova may be quite different than the normal warrior code that other clans have. though they do have similarities.
- One must put all faith into it’s clan. Hawkers must promise to feed the cat’s of his clan before themselves, and Warlords, must promise to protect the clan with the cost of their lives.
- You must follow what the Chief of Chieftess has to say, unless Nova has spoken differently on the opinion, in that case you must listen to the Curer.
- Trainees are not allowed to leave camp alone until the age of ten moons for protection reasons. So if they leave the must leave with either their mentors or a Warlord.
- Kits are not allowed to leave camp, unless it is to protect them from dangers in the camp, and if so they must not go alone.
- A sacrifice must me made every Halfmoon, if not than the clan will suffer a consequence, of Nova’s choosing.
- You are allowed to love any cat you want, meaning same gender, and anyone from the clan, except outsiders. Outsiders are never to be trusted.
- Kit’s at the age of 1-3 moons can be accepted into the clan, any kit older the age, may join if Nova says. Though the Chief/Chieftess usually ignores this one which angers Nova. - The reasons they say this, is because 4 moons an older are suspicious. Though most of the cats disagree with this.
- Nova must be put up higher than anything, whatever they say must go, even if the choosing is crucial, and may lead to death. They do not care, you must abide what they say, or you shall be punished far more greatly.
This is the rules we have to abide to, though they may add more at any given time.
