I see people say that they don't see them coming back. I disagree.
You could argue that Frostclaw for example didn't come back when SkyClan was first destroyed. But Cloudstar and other cats had the same thoughts about StarClan as the two. Besides, SkyClan was done back then (or at least till Firestar came). This time it's certain that they will eventually come back to the Clans by the lake. I'm sure that once they are there, Hawkwing/star will be like Firestar 2.0 and will send someone to bring the cats that stayed behind back.
There is also the possibility that dead family members (in our case Snipkit, or possibly even Sagenose, Birdwing, Fidgetpaw, Pebbleshine, Tinycloud or Sparrowpelt) would visit them in their dreams or something.
I just feel like they will come back - maybe not as Clan cats, but at least as kittypets.
