Thanks, Dingo! <3 I've got a bunch of stuff done already. I have a rough outline of the first book done with chosen scenes from Curse to include. I've also began tinkering with the plot a bit to make it flow better and feel less chaotic. Now the part to come is writing in the new human versions of everything and writing new scenes to fill in the gaps!!

Oh, I would love some more manuscript swaps!!
Ah, I think it’s getting close to completion! I haven’t been able to poke it it in a while and I’m getting antsy about it, but I think it’s nearly ready for editing! I have a couple more scenes I want to get in there, and some that are in desperate need of re-working, but other than that... I dare say I’ll have my own chunk of paper to colour-code soon

It feels incredible, Dingo. (: WOW, that's insane, Phantom!! O.O LOL It is. I have books that range from 55 pages (8 x 11) format to the 704 book I. When I do NEW BLOOD up and make a print copy for my personal use I am imagining it with all the satellite stories will be around 300 pages!

The size of this story of yours actually draws me in, Phantom. XD Khan was really good and I keep forgetting on our every-now-again-Amazon orders to order another of your books.
But that aside, someone should stop letting me nit-pick all of Shadow's plot changes. I had just fun early this morning. I need someone on the other side arguing for plot development over character development.

I tend to talk/type before I really think about what I want to convey. It's GET THIS OUT NOW AND EDIT IT LATER. xD Sounds like Curse. o.o'

*raises hand* How do I get on a manuscript swap? Then again, this is saying I could even ship one, ha ha.Literally me and Dingo have been going back and forth over private messages on this site...though we may need to upgrade. Google docs works wonders since both you and the author can type all over the document. And then there's good old e-mail. I'd love to do one with you, Mint!!

True, true. I'm fine with anything! I have both email and google doc which could be used! But, like, I need the mark ups. And I want to make the mark ups. I'm in a good place to have and give both. >:3
Shadow, who's broken the character limit many, many times: Yeah, we've just been using the forums which can hardly hold my stories. It's fine.

XD You just make sure to give me more material to attack criticize. Speaking as someone who typed up most of all of what I said on my phone, I relate. I actually just mentioned to someone that no one should let me talk on my phone without proofreading. I caught a really bad mix-up today alone. XD So yeah, I wont stop. But I need a foil anyway. Someone who can make sure I see the plot points as well.

I think Google docs would be the best place then to do it online and instantly! You can mark all over the place, even make side notes and such. Should I just send you pictures of my notes?? xD

The others run about 300 pages in that series and Biook III which is still in the 1st draft (Sheesh I'm getting slow) but that looks to e another fattie. . .like the 1st two LOL

He was using pencil and my bad eyes could read it! But sure was a great help over those years we worked together.

Is Mint getting in on the manuscript swap! Oh, exciting! This is going to be fantastic.
And yes, we definitely need an upgrade! Google docs is very effective for collaboration. Although, I’d consider just mailing you both a physical copy... it’s a shame shipping things overseas from Australia is so expensive.

One of these days, someone remind me to pick your brain about publishing, Phantom. I need more opinions and first person accounts. Always feel free to ask. I did go Independent, and published the stuff myself using Lulu.com and Amazon;s KDP/CreateSpace platforms. I know others that have used other platforms like Smashwords. It is work as you need to design your cover, do your own editing or get someone to help, and format the book, (I get it all ready in Word, then create a PDF for upload). But before one can get there, one has to get that 1st draft down and go thru revise, add or subtract, streamline your actual prose, and by time its polished enough to put out there you've probably made half a dozen or more passes thru the work, creating several drafts. I have even found silly booboos after uploading the KDP edition. . .and had to revise and re-upload. For print I buy proofs and read and mark and read and mark until it is as near mistake free as possible. But I have enjoyed every moment of the momentousness task, and at present have eight books out there with three more in the 1st draft stages and a couple others in rough draft or notes. I hope I live long enough to finish them all.

Here here! I hope you get to write all your ideas! But I'm saving that post because I've gotten through several drafts of the first book in my series and I need to start seriously looking at my options while I work on some more. Any suggestions and help would be amazing on anyone's part.

If you’re considering self-publishing, I’d look at crowdfunding. Kickstarter is fantastic - not gonna lie, I spend a lot of time just browsing other people’s projects - because they operate on a preorder system, meaning if the campaign in successful, you already have a guaranteed reader base.
A lot of printing companies, like PrintNinja (which out of all the ones I’ve looked at has been my favourite so far) offer a Kickstarter discount, as well.
It’s not uncommon for well managed Kickstarter projects to raise upwards of $25 000 dollars, from what I’ve seen. Granted, the creators make very little initial profit, but the money raised often covers printing/illustration/cover design/shipping plus the creation of extra incentives/rewards. I really do suggest you check it out.

Any suggestions and help would be amazing on anyone's part. The reason I use Lulu and Amazon is they offer full distribution for either ZERO fee or a small one. With Amazon KDP you can create both kindle and paperback versions. (I use Lulu for hardcover.)You do not need to buy any books except for proofing purposes, or if you're going to have a contest or giveaway for promotional purposes. Its print on demand, and what one can make depends on what one can do in promoting. I don't know much about Kickstarter or the other Kat mentioned but its always wise to check out one's options and see which fits you and your books best.
