I do not like the sound of that laughter at all...
I’m glad the kits are ok, for now, but the kits aren’t who I’m worried about at the moment.

That is a truly terrifying thought, considering my experience reading GoT went something like this;
Best friend: I’m warning you now not to grow attached to anyone. Not a single character. You’ll thank me later.
Me: I’ll be fine!
Me: *reading while sobbing and manically texting because all my favourite characters keep dying*
NO. DONT SAY THAT. SHES FINE. SHE’LL WALK IT OFF
I might have to get you back for this, though...
*sigh*
I guess we’ll just have to wait like normal fans have to...

This chapter — this chapter right here. It was a ride. While I can’t seem to type a bunch on it, I’ve gotta say that it’s more than just good; especially with the plot twists.
Also, I wanna fight you for killing off Eaglefrost hhh ;;
Him just slowly dying in Shadowface’s arms as he died to protect her and spur her forth was so heart-tugging and emotional.
So we finally find out so much more about Lionshadow — and his “true form”, which originally had blue eyes. Hm.
I love how Lion isn’t your typical villain, and Spotted turns out to be the real big bad. You took the “villain with a soft side” and shaped it into a character who we can’t help but feel so much sympathy for. I also love how you have your characters do certain things for a reason—because everyone does things for certain reasons. Spottedmoon killed her daughter out of fear, Lionshadow tortures her out of grief and disgust, etc. It makes them even more “human”. More real.
Also, in the previous chapter, you touched on the “battle of self/Man vs. Man” theme, both figuratively and literally, which I loved. I also love your description of the Realms and what it’s like to be in such an otherworldly plane of existence. Also: “my soul ripped itself from my flesh”? It’s such a small line, but it adore it??
And I love how you made a complete, execellent callback to the prologue; that was exceptionally neat. The reveal of such characters was played out so amazingly.

( Also, this is totally unrelated, but BTS came out with their new song “FAKE LOVE” a few days ago and I highly recommend watching the music video bc it’s so aesthetically beautiful ok bye )
