Psshhh you two. You both have been reading Curse for a long time now. Y'all deserve cameos and much more. <3 I have not been as active as others, nor as active as I would like to be. So I don't feel as deserving of a cameo.  |

Wow wow wow wow. Shadow, you've presented us with yet another fantastic and enjoyable chapter! That fight scene was incredibly to visualise, and the commentary was hilarious - it added some much needed comic relief!
Now, theory time...
I think we all knew Snow was special. Whether or not she is truly 'cursed', I have yet to decide. Aside from not even Ashpaw knowing that there is apparently an eighth Curse, she does not share any qualities with the other Cursed.
Her powers are described as icy, the very opposite of the fire-based powers of the Cursed. This puts some serious doubt in my mind as to what she is. What if this ice is some kind of surrogate curse? A hybrid, a splintered fragment of something else? (We know the number 7 is significant, and if Snow is cursed... there are 8 curses...
All of this has to tie in to her eyes. Silver is such a distinctive, unnatural colour. It has to mean something. It's a colour she shares with Darkestday, who seems, for some reason, unaffected by the tragedy of Nighthawk's curse. I used to think that silver was less colour and more absense of colour, as a sign that he's unaffected by the curse... but what if it means something else entirely?
Questions, questions, questions...

Katanaheart Think what you will. (': Dingoleap Thank you! :'3 I believe some if not most of those questions will be answered in the next chapter of Dark Side of the Moon which is Spottedmoon's story. The latest chapter just confirmed whether or not she has the same "ailment". And it also showed the seventh and final realm (that has not been discussed yet in Curse and probably never will) which answers in its own way how many Cursed there are in the world...

Sadly parties are about it when you get older, and I'm not much of a party person. I would rather meet up with my friends (still dress up) and watch a marathon of Harry Potter. x'D With all snacks, chocolate,and candy provided of course :'P

Moon fire. That was all she dreamed about.
From the moment ice kissed her skin untill water thawed her heart, these dreams plagued her restlessly.
Some would take these dreams as a sign of untapped power just waiting to be scraped out and sculpted into one’s own terrible will; a foretelling of great beauty, rage, and dominance over the natural world. Yet, others would interpret it as undeniable misfortune. Fire was the destroyer, the eraser, the claw stained in dried blood; its reach was never ending and its result was always ash. Fate would never have its day, because fate was obsolete in the presence of the great flame.
But moon fire-a fire of not sun but moon-was a peculiar shade of this destructive power. The moon was in itself a question and an answer to the sun. What is bright, but not blinding? What is luminous, but ever-changing? The moon was not warm, but cold, and yet it changed more often than the sun, and one could safely gaze onto its pale, smooth surface and be in awe of its otherworldly beauty. Most importantly, the moon was a light in the dark, but it was not always there to provide such comforts.
This was the reality that she saw in her dreams of moon fire. An ever-changing world consumed in an unpredictable and yet calculated flame. Brilliant, graceful, and deadly. So deadly, that she would be eaten alive by its silver blaze.
But, the inferno would end as soon as she opened her eyes; eyes that were filled with the moon fire that she dreamed about every night until the time came for her to die. And die she did, under a moon as dark as the abyss her spirit would wander in to.

I had a long paragraph typed up about this chapter a few days ago, but life intervened before I could post it :c Seriously though, this might be one of my favourite chapters so far! That fight scene, and that reveal!! o.o I agree with whoever said Snow was like an anti-cursed. Where that fits into the Grand Sceme Of Things, I'm not sure. Are we supposed to assume that the rogue leader in Jadestar's time had the same power, or is that parallel a coincidence?
I also really want to find out about how Maskkit's curse has developed; seems like a lot's happened since we last saw her |
