Azure leaned heavily against the side of the ditch as Tori began to climb up. He lurched forwards when she slid down off of a root, but stopped himself from trying to help her. He would probably just drop her at this point, and besides, she it wasn't like she couldn't take care of herself. She would be fine, he reminded himself, she had made it this far without him already. As she sought another route, he slowly leaned back again, watching her with a thoughtful look. He remembered their younger years, and how when they were especially small, they would dare one another to jump into the ditch and climb back out. There were other dares that they'd given, especially once they were older, but most common was still the ditch. Climb out with no hands was a favorite, and it often led to them slithering up the side of the muddy ditch on their chest, using their legs as leverage. God, they'd irritated their parents so much with that. Mud covered kids returning to home with bright eyes and messy hair... they'd dealt with that too many times. He pushed away the thoughts as he heard Tori call down to him, her voice shaky. He felt a nervous feeling in his stomach, but pushed it away, lurching towards the other wall and slowly beginning to make his way up. He lost his footing twice, and had to lean against the wall for the friction so that he didn't slide as far, but once he was able to reach over the edge, he looked over at Tori worriedly. "Could you give me a hand?" He asked, very slowly starting to pull himself up. He was so dizzy, he could barely see straight. He just wanted to sleep, and yet Tori had told him it was a bad idea, hence he was fighting that exhaustion.

(Sorry sorry sorry, I was at home! I just got engaged and was spending time with his family and mine x3)
Tori felt a pang of panic, unsure of how she would be able to actually help pull him up. She ran a hand through her hair, taking a deep breath as if she where preparing herself for the task of helping him. She nodded, reaching out a hand for him to grab, genuinely worried at his state. Even a concussion shouldn't put him in such a bad position, but that wasn't her job to worry about that. She just had to get him out of this ditch and home, where his parents or sister could take him to the hospital. Then he would be out of her life, once again, and she was honestly unsure what she felt about that fact. She was relieved, of course, the tension between them had left it awkward and spiteful, but on the other hand this incident made her miss the relationship that she once had with him, one where they worked together.
