I like Jayfeather but, I see where you are coming from with him being like Yellowfang, when he's older he might have some similarities Yellowfang 2.0

I like his character to be honest. In the new book he is very strict with Alderpaw. I sometimes feel bad to the young cat. Jayfeather needs to calm his horses sometimes and just chill a bit.

I like Jayfeather.
I think some people are pretty hard on his character. Sure, he's grumpy and was bratty in his younger days, but he's grown into a pretty mature medicine cat and honestly I loved his sarcasm. His POVs were the most entertaining for me in all of the OOTS books, though maybe because I'm biased in that I think his power was the most interesting of all to read about (aside from Dovewing's). Considering that firstly he's blind (which I don't think he particularly likes being) and secondly that he "sees" (and went through not to mention!) a lot of things that he can't really talk about with anyone, I think his character has some room to be "like Yellowfang". Yellowfang went through and held in a lot of things too, didn't really have anyone to talk to, and so on. They have similarities that go beyond just their personalities. The way these two characters turned out is pretty understandable considering what they've been through.

That being said, I don't think Brightheart really held it against him (the way he treated her or his attitude in general). As time passed on, Brightheart started helping him with collecting herbs and doing whatever she could to help after Leafpool was forced to be a warrior for a while. It's pretty sweet of her, and I think that Jayfeather no doubt regrets his ugly attitude towards her from The Sight. Also beyond that he wasn't very rude to her in particular, they have no reason to have anything against each other now.
