I'm aware that Maplefrost did the same thread quite a time ago, but I feel like this needs to be said. In past two weeks a lot of things happened that just really annoyed me. I will list these situations here. i won't mention anyone by name though.
1) Suicide jokes
First of all, I made a thread where I made a suicide joke and let's just say it wasn't funny. Someone critisized it, and another person called them triggered. This grew into an argument which resulted in the thread being locked by admins.
2) You can't like this character
There was a Spottedleaf rant in this section that was in the recent topics for about two days. Meanwhile someone mentioned Spottedleaf was their favorite character. Someone replied with the note that "someone as f---ed up as Spottedleaf shouldn't be anyone's favorite character". It just annoyed the crap out of me. I said it countless times and I say it again - do not critisize people based on their opinion. Not the whole flippin world has to view something the same way as you.
3) You expect support
Someone made a thread about defending Millie with some honestly pretty valid points imo. At the end of the thread, they stated that they do not wish to discuss as it's their opinion and it's not about to be changed. However, someone didn't take it too lightly and went off on the original poster, about how they "expect support" and "go off on people that agree with them". Imo it was pretty hard to see that the opinions were the same when there wasn't even the slightest hint of it. Maybe me mixing into the fight wasn't the best idea, but it's disrespectful nontheless. The original poster later requested the thread to be closed which is perfectly understandable.
And don't even get me started on fights about politics. Heck, someone even mentioned they got hate pms for liking Trump.
Overall, I honestly don't think this place is "rude", but maybe some people, including me, should stop and think about what they type. I call it TBYT - Think Before You Type. And I really just want everyone to use it, it will be much better for the community.

If the people involved in these situations come across it, feel free to sort this out here if not in pms, but for god's sake, please keep it chill.

I agree. I have been here for a short time, but I did see the "You can't like this character post" and fully agreed with you in it. No one should hate on someone else for another opinion. People shouldn't be hating on other people. And personally, unless you are willing to debate civilly about politics, just don't talk about politics. I am definitely no Trump supporter. In fact, I hate the man's guts, especially since he threatens my safety. But, I am not here on a Warriors forum or rant to discuss politics. I know certain threads here were specifically to discuss politics in off-topic groups, but that leads to my next point.
If you cannot politely debate or disagree with someone, I say keep your loud mouth out of it and go to another thread. I know that if I have nothing nice to say about something, I just move on to a different topic. Debating is one thing, but hating and bashing is another.

I've seen a lot of fights and it's really sad to see my friends leave this place or take a break from them, since it's fun to be with them and watch them. XD that sounded creepy. But really I agree with you on the TBYT. Lots of people don't do it and that makes a lot of arguments, so remember everyone. Not everyone agrees with you on everything, and before you get butt hurt and start yelling and bashing on them TBYT. It will make the internet a better and friendly place imo.

I don't feel like talking about politics anyways. I'm not american so it's not really my thing. I was browsing instagram and like every second post was something like "Obama, come back!" Anyways, I'm happy we can agree on this.

There are rude people everywhere. Just because there are some really rude people, doesn't mean the place overall is rude. I don't agree with a lot of things that people do here, but I've defiantly seen worse. Things here are pretty great compared to other cites. I've seen complete chaos on cites like Instagram, YouTube, and deviantArt, and I've seen some forums that are so highly moderated that you can't even have a proper debate without people getting offended and the mods stepping in. There are defiantly people who do rude things here and I wish they would stop so they don't ruin the experience, but this is one of the more mature cites I've went to.

A lot of the people here are under 18 and very left-wing, or tumblr-blogger-esque if you will imo. So I mean, drama over suicide jokes, Trump getting elected, and a fictional book series? Not surprised.
Then again, making a suicide joke in general is really edgy.
PS: Shouldn't this be in Off-topic or something?
PSS: Yes I have <100 posts, as I said this is my opinion from what I've seen so far of this forum.

This whole forum is very toxic right now. You say one thing someone doesn't agree with and it's like you just admitted to the world's worst crime. I haven't seen this forum so toxic since the WCF days. Even some of the staff are becoming over dramatic and a bit too political, which is concerning.

Try posting anything in OTD about the election and you'll see what I mean about toxicity. Part of the problem is the fact that the mods are becoming biased, which includes the political post ros made, which I thought was rather unnecessary. Made it seem like they were taking sides, which doesn't help the situation.

I mean...every fandom is in a way. But I feel like we're getting worse and worse from here. Partly it could be because of how young we are and since they're mostly introverts, you hold in all your opinions until you type away when no one knows your identity. I'm not exactly sure...but I'm afraid for the furture.

i don't spend a lot of time in the cats forum. however, i feel like you shouldn't have made the third one look so black and white. i saw that thread, and it just seems like there was a big misunderstanding that lead to a fight. neither individual was at fault. although i could not agree with you more. the level of rudeness and drama needs to go down.

this place is rude for sure; however, I don't think I'd say it's significantly more rude than other places

I don't think think it is too rude, although I might criticize this forums for generally being a circlejerk (I mean it in the modernized definition, don't get any ideas)

The results of the election in the USA have set people off where it was calmer and more civil before. Taking control of this is not easy to do, but we're doing what is best. The one thing that is very helpful to us staff is for you to report anything that seems off to you; we look into our reports and decide on what we can do to fix the situation. It doesn't help that people won't and don't report things.

Plus I stated many times I was posting my opinion, but you and the person ignored. The posted asked for it to be locked, it's not like it needed it.

I locked it because it was getting out of hand. /: People kept jumping into the argument. We really don't need to bring this up again, guys. Just drop it. And I simply said that I accept your opinion, but I also said I didn't expect support. But you kept assuming I was being snooty about it, which was COMPLETELY unnecessary to say. The mod said it was a complete misunderstanding and I agree. But I am not going to speak of it again nor I will reply after this, even if people reply to this from my notifications.

I'm still on my break from here, but I decided to lurk around, and I figured I would put my ten cents on here and say that I did not ignore everything, because that isn't true. So I will not reply after this. I wanted to share my side of the story.
