ayy what's ur collection like? What's your favorite rock? What do you do with your collection? Do believe in any of that metaphysical stuff? How long have you been collecting? Do you prefer raw or cut?

I don't know if I can be considered a great collector but I have about a handful of gems. I'll take them either way. I got most of mine in a mini digging kit from a store XD Sapphire is mine but I really like Tiger's Eye.

ahhh i love mine !! i don't have a favorite stone really but i do really like quartz despite how common it is bc those crystal formations yo! and it can come in so many different colors, and my birthstone amethyst is a quartz. and it's a tough versatile crystal. i love opal too bc it's amazingly gorgeous like omg. i do believe in the metaphysical stuff kinda tbh. hard to explain bc i don't see it in the same way as some. but i actually gave my boyfriend a piece of amethyst for protection bc he needs it lol. in my collection i have a big raw quartz crystal, a massive chunk of raw amethyst, an even bigger quartz geode, tumbled tiger eye, tumbled carnelian, tumbled moss agate, tumbled amethyst, opalite (i know i know, whyyy it's lab created what's the point but it was really pretty and cheap so i bought it anyway ok lol), raw orange calcite, raw green calcite, raw blue calcite, a slice of agate, carved white onyx, and a piece of raw pyrite with the biggest crystal formations i've ever seen. i also have a cut rose quartz necklace. i prefer my stones raw tbh, i think they're much more beautiful raw with the sole exception of tiger eye. i also have a book on the metaphysical properties of each stone! they kinda just sit on my shelf honestly but there was a while where i kept a few on my nightstand because i was having a bad bout of nightmares and they helped. i went to a huge gem and mineral show a while back and bought a bunch of things for my boyfriend for various purposes, the aforementioned amethyst included. it was the coolest thing i'd ever been to i was so excited! i dream of one day being able to fill a room with all my stones ❤

I have pots of different crystals, some natural, some man-made, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Aventurine, Tigers Eye, Turquoise, Opal, Goldstone (which is so pretty and sparkly.), Carborundum, like loads of little ones. They're mostly cut and polished but I do adore uncut/raw crystals. My favourites are always any blue ones and green ones or any that reflect colours. I don't believe in all of that stuff but my mum does, her collection is much larger than mine, she has this beautiful crystal wand. I just keep my crystals on display. I wouldn't consider myself a proper collecter though.

I've loved rocks/gems/minerals ever since I can remember for instance - apparently in first grade I brought my teacher a rock that I thought was really cool every day (whether from my gravel driveway while waiting for the bus or just one I found) and at the end of the year she gave them all back to my parents in a big sandbox pail, haha. My family's been going to gem and mineral shows since I was a kid. I don't believe in any of the metaphysical stuff. I just like them because they look pretty and geology in general is kinda interesting. I prefer raw stones, usually: those are often the most impressive. As far as my favorites, I tend to favor quartz and its different varieties (specifically rose quartz and amethyst), especially when in crystal form. Much of my collection consists mostly of four craft boxes of rocks, like this one (ignore the odd shadow; I don't have any batteries for my attachable flash and my lens gets in the way of my built-in one): I also have a bunch of more-recently-purchased, flashier rocks at my desk at work (pyrite, a stick of selenite, green calcite, kyanite, lab-grown bismuth, and a cut "tower" of purple-and-green-striped fluorite), and on the top of my bookshelves at home I have some large chunks of raw quartz and rose quartz as well as a geode that happens to have a flat side and sits upright on its own. For almost every gem and mineral show I've gone to, I've also gotten a tiny stone animal: The upright cats, sparkly wolf, and lion are goldstone (man-made); the squirrel, dolphin, and wolf in back are also a man-made material; the short standing wolf is amethyst, the owl is bone, the snake is a near-flawless piece of quartz, and the curled-up cat is tigers eye.

I love gems, though I only have a few genuine ones. Rose quartz, two amethysts, a pyrite, and one that I can never remember the name for the life of me! ^^"

I just have a small shelf that has been slowly collecting pretty rocks and gems and stuff over the years. I really like amethyst and tigers eye. Also jade and turquois.
