so many people are @ssholes. Empty, mean, cold-hearted @ssholes between this place and irl. people saying things like "Go back to Africa where you came from," "Women shouldn't have the right to not be hit" it's unbelievable. I asked a family member who doesn't support gay marriage what she thought about a person burning down a church because gay people go there (a news story a while back) and she just shrugged and said they deserve it for going against God. I doubt that God, wants any of this. I just really believed we were past this and more mature...omg sorry for the rant I'm just floored

I honestly hope that one day we can return to being what this nation was supposed to be: The land of the free and the home of the brave. Clearly that first bit no longer applies.

Honestly, I'm really irritated now.
Humanity is dead, guys. We've almost lost all compassion towards each other.

A day ago, I was pretty hopeful. Now I am extremely disheartened about everything. I realized half of my country is full of racist, sexist bigots, and they have a major hand in the government.

an argument against the whole "it's against the Bible!!!!" bs;
the old testament (the part generally quoted for anti-anything by supposed Christians), were rules set forth by God so the Hebrews could achieve salvation. it was appeasement for Original Sin. that's why the Hebrews were required to make sacrifices to God.
Jesus was sent from heaven in order to "cleanse" those sins from us human beings. it was the ultimate act to free us from previous laws set by heaven, so we could achieve salvation through Jesus' example. this is why Christians don't follow the laws of Levictus (i.e. sacrifice).
therefore, when you quote the old testament in argument for your hate, you, a good Christian and child if God, are invalidating Jesus' sacrifice, and telling that it was all in vain.
just a thought.

THANK YOU my question that never gets answered The one time homosexuality is addressed is in Leviticus on the same page as the rule saying you can't cut your hair, and men can't have long hair, so they say "We don't follow that part of the bible" so then why do you hate LGBT people? "It's wrong" YOU JUST SAID WE DONN'T FOLLOW THAT PART OF THE BIBLE

"It's wrong" YOU JUST SAID WE DONN'T FOLLOW THAT PART OF THE BIBLE Paul mentions homosexuality as a sin in some of his letters, such as Romans (see 1:26-27) and 1 Corinthians (see 6:9). So there is New Testament evidence supporting homosexuality as a sin. That said, we are never told to viciously hate on people for sinning; that would be hypocritical, since everybody sins, just in different ways. In fact, Romans 2:1-4 directly tells us not to judge others, because we are sinful too. Hating on people does not help them in any way; instead, we should be loving towards others (even if they hate us for disagreeing with them) and pray for them. As I always seem to coming back to Romans, one final thing. Romans 12:18 even says to live at peace with everyone, so far as it you have control over it. That's not compatible with hating and insulting and picking fights. (Apologies if I've given offense to anyone; I have stated my opinion as simply as possible.)

I am completely and utterly floored at how quickly everyone has turned on their fellow human beings. Trump isn't going to get a chance to tear America apart if we all continue like this, because we'll do it ourselves.

Trump didn't even do this but you know the more divided we are the easier we are to control...
