this is gonna be sh-t bc i suck @ organizing my thoughts when i'm pissed but anyway here i go
no, this is not the end of the world.
no, Trump is not going to send people out to mow down gays, Muslims, minorities, etc etc etc.
no, massive amounts of people are not going to die bc of this.
no, a lot of Trump's idiotic promises will not go through.
no, not all Trump supporters are the same.
no, riots will not solve anything.
no, Hillary was not a "saint", a "savior", or anything even remotely honest or likable.
yes, Donald Trump will be the next president of the United States, and should be acknowledged as such.
we know.
but:
yes, Mike Pence has absolutely no compassion for the LGBT community whatsoever, is vehemently pro-life and yet supports abstinence-only sex ed, doesn't believe smoking will kill you, does not believe in climate change, and so on.
yes, Trump is racist.
yes, Trump is sexist.
yes, Trump is homophobic.
yes, Trump is a terrible businessman.(which we didn't need a businessman as a leader in the first place so i'm not sure why this was ever an argument to begin with)
as for his supporters:
60% Support banning Muslims from entering the United States
50% Support the Confederate flag hanging on the capital grounds
30% Support shutting down all mosques in the United States
30% Wish the South won the civil war
25% Islam should be illegal in the United States
25% Support the policy of Japanese Internment
20% Support banning homosexuals from entering the United States
10% Say Whites are a superior race
(11% aren’t sure one way or another)
15% disapprove of slavery being abolished
- (Another 20% aren’t sure one way or another)
50% support the use of torture on foreign enemy combatants
- (Another 25% aren’t sure one way or another)

these are, mind you, the people who will be out on the streets "taking their country back".
i appreciate the reassurances. i really do. but these concerns are completely valid.
"everything will be okay" is a good sentiment.
"everything will be okay because Trump isn't as bad as you think he is" is not.
defend this man. support this man. i don't care. i literally do not care at all at this point. what's done is done and i hope you're happy.
i do love this country. i know a lot of others do as well. that's why we're pissed about this. you've got to understand that people feel unsafe. you've got to understand that.
i don't want to hate people because of who they voted for.
but if you see all this, if you know all this to be true, and you still defend this man, you still defend his running mate, this vile, sickening philosophy, this absolutely deplorable character of his, and you're still able to make threads like "but he's rly not that bad !! Hillary would've been worse !!"
i just think that says a lot about you as a person. that's all.
