Impeachment is what happens when a President is charged with an unlawful/criminal offense. Impeachment means they will be sent to trial. If found guilty, then they are out of the presidency. In that case, the Vice President becomes President.
That is something you do not want to happen. Pence gaining the presidency is far worse than Trump. Trust me.
People who want Trump impeached or even assassinated are obviously ignorant to the fact that then Pence becomes President. At least the Vice President literally has no say or do in the government; the VP can "advise" the President but that's about it--he can't get anything actually accomplished.

And Trump isn't homophobic, actually. He spoke on them once, as I recall, and said he supports them. Now Pence, on the other hand, is not okay. He endorses conversion therapy. However I will reiterate that the Vice President literally has no power and he won't get anything done. All the information people are getting (that is wildly incorrect) is from people on the internet (like tumblr) where ignorant people are spreading lies to other ignorant people.

You don't. You suck it up and deal with whatever the next four years bring. Yes, this sucks. No, the world is not going to end, and neither is America. No, violence and riots are not going to help. And yes, Trump is now the rightful president-elect of the United States, and anyone saying that they refuse to recognize him as president is going to get hit with a face full of reality very soon.
I'm sorry to speak harshly, but the election is over. We can either accept it or leave the country. There's no middle ground.

Some of us may accept it, but that doesn't mean we have to respect it at the same time. Until Trump and/or Pence respect other people, only then will I respect either of them. I am NOT standing for the national anthem anymore. I will NOT do the pledge of allegiance. I hate my country for the people in it. But I have no choice but to stay because a part of me still wants to be American.

Also I'm going to keep doing the Pledge of Allegiance and the national anthem. In my mind, I am pledging allegiance to and respecting the ideals of America- what it should be. What it's supposed to be. Captain America went through a crisis like that in his comics lol. The government started doing bad things, so he gave up his Captain America title for a while, but then he realized that he doesn't represent the American government. He represents American ideals- American values. Even if we elected Kim Jong Un as president, I'd still stand for the pledge and anthem, because to me, I'm not pledging my allegiance to the government. The pledge says that we're pledging allegiance to the flag, the ultimate representation of American ideals, and to the Republic for which it stands- a good republic, a free republic, the one we started with and the one we're all still fighting for. Idk, just my thoughts. I understand your position.

Splintercati understand where you are coming from as well. I suppose you have changed my mind a bit and that is okay. i am just hating my country because of the people in it. to me, a country is the people, the GROUP of people. we are the country. but i hate the people in it, therefore i hate my country now too. i really REALLY want to change my opinion because of your reply (which i think was very moving), but i can't help but feel we HAD chances to be the ideal america, but there's still snakes in the grass. hidden racists, sexists, etc. they're all around us and its terrifying to think we co-exist with such ROTTEN people.

We have the freedom to stand or the freedom to sit. What one chooses to do the other does not have to do or agree with. But it is an individual's choice.
