A lot of people, myself included, suspect that NeedleRain will happen or it'll go no where, like Stormfur and Squirrelflight.

It seems more like the other way around, whens he thought that she had come there to use them, as SkyClan spies, he looked shocked and taken aback, until Needlepaw told him otherwise. |

Needletail and Rain is just not going to go well. At least, that's what I think. Yes, Needletail is manipulative, but so is Rain. They are both quite manipulative, but Needletail is clearly enamored with Rain. This may be true vice versa as well, but. I really have had a bad feeling about this since the Apprentice's Quest, the moment they seemed to be taking a liking to each other. Something isn't going to end well, I fear.

if it was obvious in the apprentice's quest that rain x needle would happen, then HOLY GOD, it is incredibly blatant in thunder and shadow.

and to all of the people saying that it's not going to end well and that one or more of them is manipulative, i'd have to agree !! both rain and needlepaw are extremely manipulative, persuasive and silky cats, and i feel like one is mind washing the other. |

okay so (spoilers for Thunder and Shadow if that wasn't already apparent  )
I think rain x needle will become a thing (it has already, really) but either A. something will happen to Rain (remember, they're in a forest full of cats who, when given the chance, would rip out the 2nd eye for him) or B. they'll have kits and then realise that it was a big mistake to let your babies near Darktail
either way somebody will end up sad but the tone for this arc is pretty much 'Kill all of the cats. KILL THEM.' so somebody's going to be upset anyway
also Violetpaw. I wonder how she'll react if/when Rain and Needletail have kits?

I kinda hope that Rain and Needle doesn't become a thing just so that ShadowClan won't spread its rebel-teen gene and give rise to a new generation who dye their hair purple and listen to MCR whilst clawing the Anarchy symbol into each others bodies okay so that's a bit dramatic but Needletail would be the worst parent- like, worse than Pinenose or Lizardstripe. She manipulates Violetpaw, only befriending her because Alderpaw told her to and 'it might be cool to have a kit following me around'. Later on, she takes her to the rogues to get on Rain's sweet side and then lies to save her own pelt when she gets back, blaming it on Violetpaw (kit at the time) 'getting lost'! She never went to go find Violetpaw when she re-joined the Clans either, whilst Twigpaw kept on running off to find her every time a leaf moved in ThunderClan (it's annoying, but siblings often are). They are in no way 'like kin'.
So if she had her own kits, I think she'd let them hang around Darktail despite it being against their best interests because she wanted to hang around in the toxic environment the rogues had created, and she'd probably love them conditionally- she totally seems the type to ignore one of her kits if they've embarrassed her in public.
(I used to like, or at least understand, Needle but after writing this I'm beginning to loathe her. If she doesn't grow up a bit soon, she'll end up dragging others in her wake and it's just not gonna be fun for psuedo-angsty Violetpaw at all). I sound really salty rn but I love the AVOS arc so far. Alderheart is still cinnamon roll to me. |

alderheart is the best AVOS character by far
though Hawkwing is probably going to make an appearance and he's great too
so is Twigpaw, though she visits her sister way too often for my liking (I have a sister who lives somewhere else but I don't run away to see her every 5 minutes or so ._.)
