Oh geez... Well considering I'd prefer other people join, and people would probably prefer making their own lions.... 2 from each pride? One cub one adult?

No, it's fine. Other males in Storm pride probably would be given a hard time by Quicksilver, but Talon wouldn't mind.

As for ranks, I'm thinking there should be a Warrior, Hunter, Den-Mother and ... Still thinking of a name for the 'deputies'.

Here are some that are titles used in actual prides. The second in command is called the queen. There are also lead hunters, hunters, Lead warrior, Warriors, cub sitters or den mothers, trainees, Cubs, and elders

What about King for the leader (Just as the rank not as the title like 'King Talon), queen for his mate, and Cheif for the rank of 'deputy'.

1 I think I'm going to do both. Write out a description for both territories and their landmarks, and then show a map so it's easier to understand.
2 Great names! I like Drift, Ebony, Acacia and I was thinking Nightshade, maybe?
I might make another Lion for my characters, and name him Alder. It's a good name BTW!

Oh, and if you'd like to work on the prides' history you can. Here's what I got for the territory descriptions.
StormPride-
They live in a small forested area (for Africa) and they enjoy living in the shadows. Knowing they love it, their Pride ancestors send down lots of rain to bask in. Their two significant Landmarks are the Great Acacia, and the Silver Pool.
RiverPride-
These big cats love to bask in the warm sun, and snack on the easy prey that the river brings them. Their two significant landmarks are the Great River (that they're named after) and King Rocks.
(This is just a rough draft. In working on improving it.)

Once one pride would be fine. I think Quicksilver would've been the one to split.
