Well, honestly, if you look at it in a cat way it really isn't all that wierd. Considering the lifespan and maturing age and all that. Fine to me!  |

I don't mind them. In college sometimes students will hook up with the teachers, outside of school. If they're both consensual of age adults, there's really nothing wrong with it.

I always found it really weird to be honest. Seeing as I always viewed Mentors as parent-like figures to their apprentices. Or even like a Aunt/Uncle. But to each their own I guess.

I feel like as long as it is done well (i.e. takes place after the apprenticeship is over, characters can be built up together before the 'announcement' of being mates) then it's not really a big deal.

I think it's fine, even if there is an age gap. I mean, there's plenty of examples with humans (meaning legally, not crazy things) of teachers and students falling in love too…
In the human world, a teacher and student can fall in love with each other and even Mary provided the teacher is not currently teaching the students, and both are at the age of consent (legal adults). And Warriors doesn't allow cats to officially take mates or have kits until they've reached warrior rank (adult), so I see no problem with it…
I'd be more freaked out if it was an apprentice becoming mates with a warrior or having kits with him/her, because that's under age… But thankfully, Warriors hasn't gone into that yet…
