I plan on doing one rant a day (I will not have time over the weekend, though) so feel free to request some rants!!
Anyways, I will share my opinion on Graystripe. Now, I think his character was pretty good at first. He was goofy, & lovable. I liked him as an apprentice. But now.. he's just lazy, and it doesn't seem like he cares much for his family with Millie.
I stopped liking Graystripe after I read a rant by Mothflight on her opinion about Gray X Silver's relationship. I like Silverstream, but I don't like the way how Graystripe handled the relationship.
Graystripe was a fine warrior before he met Silverstream. But when they started to meet together in secret.. things went downhill. Graystripe became disloyal, and just very unlikable. Graystripe wouldn't listen to Fireheart's warnings and he wasn't even grateful for Fireheart covering him up, more than once, mind you. Fireheart risked lying to his leader and deputy and how does Graystripe feel about it? He's angry that Fireheart is getting in between his petty relationship with Silverstream.
Cats have been discovering that Graystripe's been missing, and Fireheart defends his friend by lying to everyone, and he has to carry the guilt for it. Graystripe doesn't appreciate it at all. And what's worse is that he continues to meet Silverstream.
Because of these meetings with Silverstream, Graystripe was never really there for his Clan. In fact, he wasn't there when Fireheart needed him that one time to keep Cinderpaw in camp. I'm not blaming Graystripe for Cinderpaw's accident; she should have listened but so much happened while Graystripe was gone. Where was he? With Silverstream. What a surprise. And what's Graystripe's concern? That Fireheart tried to tell Silverstream to stop seeing Graystripe.
Crookedstar hinted that he knew Graystripe was in his territory. But Graystripe still wanted to see Silverstream.
Graystripe's meetings were not only affecting just Fireheart, but the whole Clan.
Not that Silverstream was any better during this relationship, though. However, I don't really mind Silverstream - it's Graystripe I have a problem with.
Anyways, since I got my opinion on Gray X Silver out of the way, let's move onto Gray X Millie, shall we?
I personally really like this couple, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Graystripe cares for Millie's family as much as he cares about Silverstream's and this bothers me. Now, there's nothing wrong with grieving over your previous family, but from Graystripe's reaction when he saw Silverstream in TLH, it seems like he never really moved on because he was excited when he saw her. Uh, Graystripe? You have Millie, or have you forgotten?
I don't think Graystripe's been a very good father to Millie's children. No, he isn't abusive, however he isn't there when his kids need him the most. Remember when Blossomfall was yelled at? Graystripe was there, and he was watching. What did he do? Nothing.
It was even stated that Graystripe's tougher on the 3 Bs in TFW more than anyone else in his Clan.
Does anyone remember how gentle Graystripe was with Stormfur and Feathertail? I don't remember anyone telling him to be gentler on them like Sandstorm just told him about the 3 Bs.
I don't really like either of the 3 Bs besides Blossomfall, but Graystripe really should have been a better father. I just don't think he deserves all of the praise he gets for being a "wonderful" father. Graystripe isn't there for his children, and if he still loves Silverstream's family then he and Millie shouldn't have been mates at all. Millie deserves better, and I guess her sacrifice for Graystripe has been wasted. It's really a shame at what Graystripe has become.
Oh, and I wouldn't blame Millie for Graystripe being lazy. Remember, he was a kittypet once himself for several months, and even admitted that being a ktitypet has made himself soft in the comics. Don't blame Millie for something Graystripe has chosen in his life. It isn't her fault that he's lazy. Graystripe chose to be lazy himself.

"I suppose you should expect me to thank you for embarrassing me!" Fireheart heard Graystripe's angry hiss in his ear.
"Not at all," he snapped. "But you could at least be grateful I'm still covering up for you!" - Fire and Ice, page 209

Fireheart wondered what to do. He didn't have time to find Cinderpaw himself, and he didn't want to tell the other warriors that she was missing. Graystripe! he thought suddenly. Graystripe could look for her while he went to find Tigerclaw. Fireheart hurried to the warriors' den and slipped inside.
Graystripe's nest was empty. A flash of anger shot through Fireheart. Where was his friend when he needed him? As if he couldn't guess! - Fire and Ice, page 173
"You tried to warn Silverstream off," Graystripe hissed furiously. Willowpelt, who was dozing on the other side of the den, opened one eye, then closed it again.
Graystripe lowered his voice. "Stay out of it, will you?" he spat. "I'm going to keep on seeing her, whatever you do or say." - Fire and Ice, page 185

Graystripe: I know what you're going to say. And I won't stop seeing her!
Firehear: You're a mouse-brained fool! They'll soon work out it's you. Bluestar will guess, or some cat from RiverClan'll recognize your scent. Tigerclaw's probably guessed already! - Fire and Ice, page 250

Graystripe's meetings were not only affecting just Fireheart, but the whole Clan.
- Graystripe neglected Brackenpaw's training
- Fireheart had to cover him up so Graystripe won't get into trouble, and he wasn't even grateful for it
- When Graystripe was sick, he still kept on seeing Silverstream, and let his cough spread throughout the entire Clan. Bluestar lost a life because of this!

Firestar and Graystripe were both there, along with her mother, Whitewing, and more of the senior warriors. - Sign of the Moon, page 253
It was even stated that Graystripe's tougher on the 3 Bs in TFW more than anyone else in his Clan.
"Come on, Graystripe," she meowed. "You're always tougher on your own kits than the rest of the Clan." - The Forgotten Warrior, page 47
