any advice for beginners? Should I hand draw it or use a tablet?

If you're going to animate it as accurately to the animatic as possible, or traditionally/frame-by-frame, you'll want to go with what you think will look the nicest. If you're going to animate it with Flash puppets or 3D models, it doesn't really matter. (Unless you mold and stretch the puppets to each individual expression, such as in Wander Over Yonder.) thank you, so if I draw better on paper I can use that?

thank you, so if I draw better on paper I can use that? Absolutely! ^_^ thank you so much for the advice! i was worred I'd have to relearn how to draw people on photoshop or something

thank you so much for the advice! i was worred I'd have to relearn how to draw people on photoshop or something If you want the pictures in the animatic to line up perfectly, then you can make the papers transparent by drawing on them against a window or on a glass table with a flashlight underneath. Or alternatively, you can scan the paper drawings and edit them in pretty much any drawing/editing program. Don't let people make you think you need some sort of expensive, tough-to-learn program to make a good project. xD oh I wasn't gonna spend any money but thank you also how do you scan pictures in? I've been wondering that forever
