A young woman dressed in shades of black and grey walked quietly down the dimly lit street, her hood casting a shadow over her face. She paused occasionally to look into the windows of a few stores she passed but didn't stay for very long at any of them until she came to the window of a bakery with a handwritten sign announcing a sale on bread. A lot had changed in the past ten years, but the bakery still looked the same as she remembered it. Her and her parents had always bought deserts there for the holidays... She looked up suddenly, jolted out of her thoughts by a crack of thunder overhead. It wasn't raining yet, but it probably would be soon. She needed to move faster if she wanted to avoid getting wet.

*darts in in totally the least suspicious way possible* )
A tall man with slicked back black hair and a long button up trench coat was walking down the sidewalk, the heels of his boots clicking quietly with each step. His pace was slow, but his glowing green eyes were alert, flickering to and fro as if he were looking for something. When the boom of thunder rang in his ears he stopped and looked up, squinting at the sky and shifting his coat higher onto his shoulders, sighing quietly before he continued moving again. It felt like it had been weeks, even though it had only been days since he'd lost his closest friend. He wasn't even sure where she had gone, but he hadn't yet stopped looking. The faint scent of bread drifted to him and he glanced up, deciding to head in that direction with the hopes of finding somewhere to stay for the night. If all else failed, he wouldn't mind sleeping out in a tree, even if it was terrible uncomfortable.

Arlo glanced down the street, trying to remember the way to the house she was looking for. After a few moments hesitation, she pulled a crumpled map from her pocket and attempted to flatten it before holding it under the flickering streetlamp. She'd just found the bakery when she froze sensing someone nearby. They were probably just a little bit down the road from her, and they seemed to be coming closer. She considered leaving to continue her search for the house, but her curiosity got the better of her and she decided to wait and see who it was. She'd lived in the area for over a decade, it was possible that the person walking toward the bakery was someone she'd known.
((Sorry I'm slow, I'm on my phone and my cát's climbing on me)

As he walked under a street lamp, it lit up his face so the features were more visible. His eyes were long and slanted, and his lips were drawn in a frown. And yet, he looked more sad than anything. He lifted his chin and stared ahead, trying to distract himself with more positive thoughts. However, his attention was focused elsewhere when he saw someone else further up the sidewalk and curiosity bubbled up into his chest. "Hello?" he called softly, wondering who would be out at a time like this besides himself.
