Marvel rp: Post-Civil War ENDGAME SPOILERS

John Proudstar:

John let out a groan. It looked like they weren’t leaving quite yet. He placed out a hand to once more stop Kurt from walking away. Not that he had a problem with the mutant leaving - John could handle things on his own, although he'd learned it was always easier with allies by your side - but if Kurt intended on helping John, there was no reason to let Kurt on his way alone. After all, John was the tracker and Kurt had no idea what John’s car looked like. “Those skills will come in handy another time, I’m sure,” John replied quickly to Kurt on hot-wiring, “but, I think the keys will still be in the cars, so we wouldn’t have to worry.” He then frowned, “And, as a side note, it’s easier for me to track on foot, so stealing a car would not only be theft but more complicated.”

He fixed his eyes on Eveline, then. He could tell she was another human caught up in all of this, and normally he wasn’t so quick to trust them because they weren’t so trusting of him, but this situation didn’t seem to allow them much time for figuring out who could be trusted. He let out a breath. “Things are happening,” he stated the obvious. “Things we don’t quite understand. From what we can tell right now, people are disappearing, and we don’t know why they have and why we’re still left. I think my brother might be one of those who disappeared, and if I can find the car he left behind, maybe I can find a clue. If not, at least we’ll have a ride that we can take to someone who might have more answers than we.”

John felt like he was laying down a lot of information at once, but, again, time was not on their side. “The Purifiers probably have nothing to do with any of this. They’re just a hate group, humans who think they are superior, who want to rid the world of mutants. Whatever has caused this... this disappearing act... is not human. But, to be safe, stay away from anyone who calls themselves a Purifier. They’ll tell you mutants are bad.” He waggled his eyebrows. “But do I look bad to you?” His eyebrows fell slightly, allowing himself to gain a more serious demeanor again. “Now, you’re either with us or you’re not,” he said, inclining his head towards the sidewalk in the direction that Kurt had started off down. He looked at each of them in turn, as well, the question now directed at each of them: Kurt, Gwen, and Eveline. “Can we walk and talk?” He hoped that Gwen would be among the people following him, if only it allowed him more time to understand her part in all of this. Maybe she had nothing to do with the disappearing, but she was probably more involved in mutant affairs than she realized.

(I know I already said this, but for reference, John looks like Blair Redford. He is the actor who plays John in the tv show The Gifted xD)

John Proudstar:

"You're right about that," John muttered to Gwen. They shouldn't have been talking about it too much in public. But, then, a lot of the public had seemed to disappear, and no one was really paying attention to them. That's what happened in times of chaos. Everyone was confused and people were just trying to get away. Unless you were actively involved in solving the problem or root of the chaos, you were trying to save yourself, not trying to figure out who to blame or who to point fingers at. You weren't looking at a group of people and wondering if they were the reason for the disappearing or wondering if they knew too much. "Like I said, if we can get to my car, we can take it to the Avengers Base not far from here. It'll take an hour and a half at most. If my car's gone, then we'll switch to Kurt's idea and hot-wire a car on the street. We can worry about the legalities of that later. At the moment, I think that'd be the least of our worries."

(I have to admit, I was pronouncing Eveline's name as 'eve-line, just because that's how it was spelled XD)

(I say it as Eh-veh-leen xD)

The Avengers Base? Glenn's eyes widened although she hoped it wasn't too obvious. The Avengers Base? Did this mean she would be meeting the Avengers? Despite all that was going on, she couldn't help but feel a little giddy. She had never thought in her wildest dreams she would get to meet them, go to their base. That was only for important people...not normal people like her. But then, she had to remind herself...maybe she wasn't so normal. After all, it appeared her parents were involved in this. Still, her heart raced with some sort of excitement. She had to force herself to calm a little, remember the state they were in.

She turned to face John, noting Eveline already agreed. "A car I think would be a lot safer." She nodded. "I say, lead the way." They really had no time to waste. And still...the prospect of going to the Avengers Base was heavy in her mind. What was an hour and a half?

( I mean, I don't know what you all had in mind for this but I don't see a problem with it!)

(And, speaking of the pronounciations, if I was to pronounce it how I actually think it’s supposed to be, I’d say: Ev-ah-lin.)

John Proudstar:

"Great," John muttered. One mutant and two humans tagging along. To say the least, it was going to be an interesting journey, especially since he knew none of them. He glanced at Gwen and Eveline with a nod, and then he looked to Kurt. "Well, Kurt, looks like we finally get to leave now," he said to the other mutant. But first he had to make sure they really were going in the right direction. He let the others walk a few steps in front of him and then he did what he did best: tracking. He bent down and he placed his hand on the sidewalk. The way to the store was this way, but he wanted to make sure this was actually where his brother had come through. With his hand on the cement, he closed his eyes and let his senses rush in. In the next moment, his eyes were open and he could see the shadowy images of cars driving by, probably before the disappearances, and then-- yes, his own car, his brother at the wheel. John released his hand from the ground and stood. "We're going the right way," he told the others, catching up to them. "My brother drove this way."

Oh, cool! I'll probably still pronounce as 'Eve-line' just because that's what first comes to mind, but when I see it I'll think/know it's 'Eh-veh-lihn', if that makes sense XD)

John Proudstar:

John looked over his shoulder at Eveline. His brother. His stupid brother. Why couldn't he have stayed home? Would he have still disappeared if he had been with John? "My brother was just picking up some milk from the store," he told Eveline. They could have done without milk, couldn't they have? "If he made it before he disappeared, we should see my car in the parking lot. If he didn't make it or he already picked up the milk and was on his way home, we should see the car en route." He let his eyes travel back towards the sidewalk, following his senses. He didn't need his tracking, now, to know that his brother hadn't gone off course, that this was where he'd be. But he still used it, just in case, hoping that he'd see something different than his eyes could tell him. "Hopefully... hopefully it didn't hurt--" And then all the sudden the shadows of his eyes saw his car swerve and stop right before hitting a telephone pole. His brother stepped out of the car and gazed down the street looking confused, and then all the sudden, he began to turn to dust. John blinked his eyes and he saw his car, the door still open, stopped right at the telephone pole. He looked at the others and then ran towards the car. A carton of milk was sitting in the passenger's seat.

And I wasn't sure if I should jump into him finding the car yet, but then I didn't want to drag on them walking along the sidewalk, so I figured he'd just find the car already xDD)

(What's going to happen to this after we all see Endgame? Basically the same thing we did with the Infinity War rp? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

(So we'll just ignore whatever torture Marvel decides to put them through? )
