Marvel rp: Post-Civil War ENDGAME SPOILERS

(Too Long, Didn't Read. For those who did accordingly. Or haven't seen Captain Marvel and didn't click the spoiler.)

(Iiiiiiiiiiii swear I'll reply tomorrow. Schooooooool let me gooooo. If I could just start I'd get into the swing of things.)

(Oh yeah. This. I completely forgot about this for, like, two months. What's going on?)

(Night!! Hey! Right now we’ve just started some random rpg after the snap, but our other characters are still frozen in the infinity war plot! Feel free to jump in with what we’re doing now! (: My character (Thunderbird), Pumpkins character (Gwen), and Kitsunes character (Nightcrawler) are trying to figure out what’s going on right now with the people disappearing, and Maples character (Captain Marvel) has just witnessed some disappearing as well and is heading for the states because she’s received Fury’s page.)

John Proudstar:

John looked briefly to Kurt, and he nodded. They were too far from the X-Men mansion, although they were still in the same state, so that was out of the question. Besides, he wasn't sure that going to the remaining members of the X-Men was really the best idea at a time like this. Most mutants were now in hiding, and most fought for their own safety and protection after all that had happened with mutant rights and whatnot, not for the rest of the world (although, not to speak for everyone). Instead, John realized they needed to go somewhere that they could get answers, somewhere that he knew people would be willing to help, to save the world. The Avengers. Earth's mightiest heroes. No one ever said that about the X-Men, now did they? John had never really interacted with them, but he knew their base was somewhere near, somewhere in New York. The Avengers Base, for now, was the answer he could come up with. "The Avengers," John said. "We can go to them." Meanwhile, John was still curious as to Gwen's answer to his question, and he stared back at her, his eyes narrowed, hands fists at his side. Why were you running?

(I POST! Whoo!)

If there was one thing Eveline couldn't stand it was traffic. She never thought she'd miss it or be in a position to miss it.
It was like the aliens had invaded, taken all she knew, and she hadn't noticed.
It was a hollow feeling and one which sent her wondering aimlessly some evenings.
It wasn't evening now. She still found herself walking along the sidewalk, hands in her pockets, trying to think of names and phone numbers and people on the TV she wasn't going to see again. And a lot of other things. She wasn't sure if she was inside her head more or outside of it.
Eveline was a short, slightly heavy-set woman with blond-brown hair and dark blue eyes. Three earrings graced her left ear and she was wearing a grey turtleneck and blue jeans. Really, the only thing remarkable about her was her downcast look, which wasn't exclusive to what had been happening lately.
It was just something which had her fit in now.

John Proudstar:

Still, he waited for Gwen to answer him, so he had half of his attention on her instead of Kurt. But one ear was still tuned into listening, and his enhanced senses made it easy for him to pay attention to both of the people at once. "I've never met the Avengers," John said to Kurt. "But, that's a good idea to call in on the others and assess the situation. If we go to the Avengers, maybe that'll give our fellow mutants a chance to figure out what to do on their end." He then just briefly took his attention away from both Gwen and Kurt, his eyes gliding along the streets. It was emptier, yes, but there were still some people walking around looking just as confused as John felt. Was the disappearing over now? Or was it going to keep happening at random? He hoped it was over. The quiet was too eerie already, and, besides, it seemed like they'd lost enough. Including his brother. And, if Kurt was right, some of the Avengers.

"We can take my car," John said, finally, letting his eyes move back from the street, the cars pulled over, the confused people. "I can get us there. But... first I'm going to need to find it." As a tracker, he didn't doubt his abilities to find things, even if sometimes it was hard. However, he wasn't even sure if his car was still out there. As far as he knew, only the people were disappearing, not their objects. If he could find his car, find where James had disappeared, maybe there would be some sort of trace left of him, something he could use to figure out what was going on.

(Kitsune; I rp Logan, by the way, and he's currently stuck in the infinity war plot right now XD)

(also, pumpkin pie take your time responding, I just wanted to let you know that I've responded XD)

(yay, mint! feel free to jump into this! John hasn't "picked her out of the crowd" so to say, but if she's on the same street as they are, she can talk to them XD)

"Lass uns gehen! (let's go)" Kurt shouted as he started walking in one direction. He stopped and turned around. "So where is your car Herr John?" he asked. Kurt turned around and walked back in the direction of John and Gwen.

Gwen listened as Kurt and John spoke but remained silent as she moved her eyes cautiously between the pair. She took in John's words, wondering how to respond. If they were mutants themselves, there really wasn't any use hiding anything. There were no secrets they didn't already know. She clutched her weapon tighter and held it closer to her body despite John's words. She had nothing else to fight with, she wasn't like them, and whether she used it or not, it was a clutch to her. Something that made her feel safer. She couldn't give that up.

Finally, she decided to answer. Who was she running from? She didn't really know herself. "I don't really know." She said quietly. "Some people who killed my parents. I don't know much. I guess...my parents worked with mutants and they were killed for something they did, or knew. I'm not sure. They never spoke of this. I didn't know anything about it until after they died. But these...people..they think I know something. I don't know anything at all." She shook her head, trying to shield away the tears that were forming in her eyes. She felt vulnerable. She couldn't allow that. She needed to be strong. But yet, the thought of her parents and all of the secrets made her head spin and she couldn't help the tears building up.

(And now my head goes dead blank on how to in-character get Eveline to talk to them and in absence of a way, flat out running unto them works!)

Confused, and for lack of a better word, shell-shocked and distant, Eveline had rounded a parked car (if lopsided and absence of driver), looking around but not actually in front of her.
Her knee knocked into the back of Gwen's leg and suddenly she found herself falling toward the pavement, rolled painfully onto her shoulder and skinning her hands. Pain rolled through her she almost screamed. Instead it came out as a loud, pained yelp and she rolled onto her back, hands balled into fists as they burned. "W-what?" she said.

Kurt watched Gwen bend down to the ground. “Fräulein? Are you okay?” Kurt asked bending down next to Gwen. “She’s okay right?”

Kurt nodded. He started speed walking with Gwen and John. “Maybe we can hot wire a car and use that?” he requested. Because of all those poor people disappearing, there’s a lot of empty cars with no one inside. “Or maybe the keys are still in there?”

(*Sees 7/11* :') Like ... the gas station?)

Eveline slowly got to her feet, her hands bleeding a little from some small cuts. She glanced at the woman, checking she was alright, before she said to Kurt, "F-fine."
For a second, it looked like she was about to just leave again, dismissing them all, but they'd continued talking about whatever they'd been talking over before she'd run into them. She hesitated and once again there was almost a tipping point to leave, but finally she just asked, "What's going on?"
Unlike a lot of people these three at least sounded like they had a plan against all odds. Her being there, nosing into their business, wasn't wanted she was sure. "What Purifiers?" At least she'd gotten the name right.
