Ｉｎｔｏ ｔｈｅ Ｗｉｌｄ

While there won't be as many in the beginning, I could very well see her manipulating some half-clanners into joining her group. I just see the numbers being limited in the beginning. I can also see that with her kits. My three questions regarding the kits is how many kits will she have, who will be the father, and will she have the kits from the start or later on? I imagine if she already has them from the start, it would make her excuse about how she wanted a better life for her kits more believable if we went with the capture idea.

Another subject pop up into my head and that was regarding when Goosefeather aka "Smokefoot" first meets “Minnow”. We know what happens once they met, but what about prior? Before Goosefeather goes speaking about the clans, what would cause Minnow to take interest in him in the first place and let him join her gang? I don’t imagine that Goosefeather unless he is just an open book especially when under great deals of stress will reveal much about clan life much less the visions he is receiving. One of the key things I see happening is well Goosefeather struggling to survive, but assuming that “Minnow” has other agendas (especially if it will help her gang and possible kits) than worry about a starving rogue, I am curious to know what we could come up with that leads to her gaining interest in him and eventually they develop their trust enough where Goosefeather tells her all about it. Hopefully I am making sense.

Well when you put it that way a cat talking to themselves would perk someone's interest. I see about the rest of them. As for the number of half-clanners how about three or four at max in the beginning? I thought about five, but I thought that might be pushing it. I can see the father being unknown and whatever their relation is to "Minnow" can be up to whoever plays her.

I feel like I know who you are talking about, but I can't pinpoint who the queen is. Who was the queen in MLP again?   

I do like the kit ideas I am seeing. It is possible that "Minnow" at first does attempt to give her kits' a better life like Echo mention. She uses them as a bargaining chip as Wolf said to gain control, but eventually her well-intentions make her become power hungry and seems to care less about their overall happiness and health, but still cares about them in some way. As for her mate I was playing around with your idea Cyn, and I thought it might be interesting if her mate was quite faithful, but seems like he betray her. Her mate could have been a kittypet living in the Twolegplace, and the two were happy together. Maybe they met "Minnow" as a struggling loner attempting to survive on the streets. Eventually, she comes across the Twolegplace and meets her future mate. He takes sympathy on her and helps nurse her back to health by giving her food, water, and helping her sneak into his twoleg home for some free shelter whenever she needed it (I imagine that "Minnow" didn't want to be a kittypet, but she still wouldn't deny free housing). Eventually, they form a bond and "Minnow" ends up having kits. At first, she is afraid to tell them, but when it becomes apparent that "Minnow" is showing more signs of pregnancy she eventually gives and is pleased to find out that the tom is very happy and already coming up with names. To further prove that he actually care about her, he asks her one day if she would be his and naturally she agreed. Eventually, the tom starts to show signs of worry as he claims his twolegs were acting strangely. He kept mentioning that they were storing their items in mass quantity, but he couldn't figure out why. All he knew was that their strange behavior was making him concern. One day the answer became clear. When "Minnow" decided that she would visit her mate, she finds him trapped in a monster. When he sees her, he starts meowing frantically hoping to get out of the monster, but his twolegs attempted to calm him down. "Minnow" is naturally confused. The tom has been in a monster before, but she was starting to believe that he was being taken somewhere against his will. As the twolegs drive off with their equipment in tow, she attempted to go after him, but with the fact that she was pregnant and naturally the monster being faster than her she had to stop after a while. She still had faith that he would come back as he always told her he would and show himself to be a tom of his word. He never did. It turns out that his twolegs move to another area for some reason, but of course, "Minnow" nor her mate knew that. She had to give birth to her four kits alone and face the fact that now she was a single mother. There could be one kit in the litter that looks like him, which she names after him. At first she is heavily sad believing there was something that she could have done to prevent him from leaving her, but eventually, that sadness turns to anger and ambition as she seeks to show that she didn't need him anymore. She could move on without him and provide her kits the life they needed on her own, but there is a part of her that hasn't entirely moved on, and she knows that.

Also if we went this route, it could tie in well with Echo's original idea about the half-clanners. Her own kits would be half rogue, half kittypet so those that are half-clan might feel a closer connection with her as she understands. She doesn't look at them any differently than her own kits and sees the value in them that their bias clanmates cannot. It would give them more motivation to join her if she can warp their minds enough. Depending on how many half-clanners we have in the beginning (once again that number will be low and limited until after the plot with the rogue mating), some would fall for this and she recruits them in her gang while others wouldn't and try to warn the clans, but as Echo said their warning wouldn't be taken seriously.
