So there's this site called WriteDeck where you can compete against other people to write x number of words in the shortest amount of time possible. This is called a word sprint. Very useful for NaNoWriMo, which I'm currently doing, but even if you're not, it can, like, help with your speed-writing skills or something. Anyone up? The sprint is for 300 words. You do have to create a WriteDeck account, but it takes like 2 seconds. Edit: New sprint here. I'll start it at around 3:10 forum time/est.

I joined it, because three words sprints is not enough today. They're great, I love them so much and they really do help you get those words out, which is the whole point in the end.

This sounds... interesting. I signed up for NaNo, but I can't do it because my schedule is full, yikes. I'd love to do a word sprint, though, while I try to get some more school done.

Congratulations on that win! (And a pat on the back for me because I got my words out.)

Hey I might just go ahead and join this one as well, because I'm incredibly competitive and I need to somehow write 3000 words to catch up. This could really help with that, I think. ~300 words in ~4,5 minutes is great.

Oh my god that one was close. Good win for you, and a good 297 words for me.

Holy crap 297? That was intense, gg. Anyway, I have to leave for something soon, so I'm gonna take a break from writing and sprinting. I'll prolly host some more in the evening if anyone's interested. A 1000-word sprint would be lots of fun, don't you think?
