"Of course! There are more warriors than apprentices though. But they're all very nice cats." Ravenstar purred, noticing how Smudgekit perked up. She could tell that he was enjoying the conversation more than playing a game, something that was surprising but a refreshing difference. Smudgekit smiled. "That sounds great! I'm glad they're all nice," He purred, flicking his short tail cheerily. "What's your deputy like? And do you have any family?" He stopped and flicked his ears sheepishly. "Sorry for all the questions." Ravenstar purred even louder in amusement, whiskers twitching. "My deputies are both very nice and strong cats. As for family? I have a few kits of my own, they're apprentices now, all three of them." She stated. "My mate and kits are the only blood related family I have. But do you want to know a little secret?" |

( emolga55 --lol x3) Icekit's eyes lit up. "Really? Where?" He asked enthusiastically—'tough' as he was, he was never one to say no to a challenge. "I bet I can get to the top!" "Okay," Dewkit replied, forcing confidence into her voice as she steeled herself, honing in on the prey-scent as she crept after it. Though she couldn't tell exactly how far she was from it, she moved as close as she dared before dropping into a messy crouch—her tenseness made her wobbly—and springing for the mouse. It sprinted away into the bushes, eyes blazing with fear, but not before Dewkit's claws brushed its warm pelt. "I touched it—I was so close!" She gasped. "I never thought I'd get anywhere near prey!" She flicked her ears shyly, quieting a bit at the last comment, but her expression was still filled with pride. Willowkit nodded, racing off in the direction of the stream. Though the way through the forest was difficult for a kit as young as she, the she-kit had a sharp memory and a good sense of direction, and her paws brushed the pebbly bank in what felt like no time at all. "So do we just look around?" She asked. Moonkit had to hold back a smile from Icekit's enthusiasm. She began to spread her paws and squeeze her eyes shut in concentration. Instantly, the world's biggest tree began to grow. She secretly added a safety net below and invisible walls, while enchanting the branches to catch him incase he fell. "Amazing!" Moonrose mewed, chest swelling with pride at Dewkit, trying to make her compliment as sincere as possible. "Why don't you try again? There's plenty of prey here!" "Almost! First, try and pick up a scent that smells like the cave- you have an extremely sharp memory so that shouldn't be hard. If you can't, look for the sound of mewing. If none, look for strange colors or flashes of movement. If none of that works, try calling out for a kit- say you're here to help. If they struggle, gently pick them up by the scruff and put a poppy seed under their tongue. Use catnip for bringing out kits in the area as a last resort. If you can't see, hear, or smell anything, and have already called out multiple times and brought out catnip, THEN move a few steps. It's easy when you get to know it!" Goldenlight purred, hoping it wasn't too complicated to remember. |

Something in his chest squirmed as it went limp, but he pushed it away—it was prey, after all, and better yet, he'd caught it himself! "How was that?" He purred. |

Now that she knew what to look for, the warm scent came quickly, and she stalked into the shrubbery after what sounded like a rabbit. "I can do this," She whispered as she dropped into a crouch, flicked her tail, and then leaped. By some stroke of luck, her jump took her straight onto the rabbit's back, and she bit down hard until she felt the creature go limp. "I- I did it!" She gasped, disbelieving. "Moonrose, look!" "Okay," Willowkit replied excitedly, inhaling deeply in search of a cavelike scent and simultaneously working to keep all of the steps straight. "I think I smell something!" She exclaimed with a loud purr, breaking character for once and racing enthusiastically after the scent. "It's by those bushes—there's definitely something there!" |

Ravenstar purred even louder in amusement, whiskers twitching. "My deputies are both very nice and strong cats. As for family? I have a few kits of my own, they're apprentices now, all three of them." She stated. "My mate and kits are the only blood related family I have. But do you want to know a little secret?" "Yes!" Smudgekit purred, his eyes gleaming—as most kits did, he adored the idea of a secret regardless of whether older cats would find it much of a secret at all. "What is it? I'm super trustworthy!" "The entire clan is my family. I see every cat that I lead, as if they were my own kits." She whispered, her own eyes gleaming. It wasn't much of a secret, but she was trying to amuse the young tom and it seemed to be working. |

"What are they like?" Sunkit asked. Easily-distracted as he was and deciding the game needed a bit more flair, he flapped hard and kicked the ball with his hind paws, somersaulting in the air as he did so.
Smudgekit grinned widely. "That's so nice!" He purred. "The kits in the cave are all nice—well, most of them," He chuckled. "I guess you could say they're my family, but it's not like a real clan. I bet you're a great leader," He purred.
Toadkit beamed at Skyvolt's praise, every ounce of his body radiating pride as he glanced from the still-warm catch back to Skyvolt. "We should share," He remarked with a purr. "You taught me how to catch it, and it's more fun that way!"

"We'll have to see if it'll come out or not..." |

Crystalfur reached for the ball and hit it back, unbalancing herself in the process. "Tiger is a lot of fun to be around, and Cherry is always sweet. Boulderflower is very funny, and she helps take care of the kits who follow me home when they're too young. Eagle can be a bit of a boulder-brain, but he's nice and usually optimistic." She replied while getting back up.
(I just now realised I never mentioned Crystalfurs fur is purple >-< )

He announced proudly. (@emolga--oh gosh, I forgot Owlkit is mine. My bad! X3) "Sure!" Owlkit replied, puffing out his cheet proudly and refolding his wings. He looked up at the tall, tall tree with a twinge of worry, but he quickly pushed it away and grinned; there was no way he would chicken out in front of Moonkit. With a deep breath, when grabbed the tree and bean to scale it easily. Dewkit let out a purr and followed after Moonrose obediently. Before leaving, she grabbed the prey in her tiny jaws and did her best to drag it along--there was no way she was letting this prize catch out of her sight. "Okay," Willowkit replied, staring at the spot with wide, expectant eyes. "Come out, little one," She cooed comfortingly. ( Sorrelcloud--lol, and cool xD) "Good," Sunkit replied, snagging the ball in his claws and swinging it back towards Crystalfur. "They sound really nice! But can you all hunt and fight? Because I'm going to be a great warrior and I need a good teacher," He added with a cocky wink. |

"I learned how to hunt from my mother, and I assume that others know basics of them too," she paused to catch the ball and send it back. "Our apprentices leave during their apprenticeship to learn things we couldn't teach, so skills are often scattered." Crystalfur replied.

Sunkit's ears pricked up, his attention grabbed so that he almost missed the ball. He dove for it, almost skittering across the ground, and tossed it back to Crystalfur. "Real apprentices? Where do they go?" He asked, interested.
"Just look out at everything," Owlkit replied smoothly, grinning at Moonkit. "Stop and enjoy your victory for a minute," He teased as he watched cave life moving far below.
Willowkit almost gasped with amazement as the kit appeared—half of her still hadn't believed their search would work. "Hello!" She purred, excitement boiling over. "I'm Willowkit, and this is Goldenlight—what's your name?"
Dewkit grinned as she oriented herself and sat down next to Moonrose. "Can I ask you something?" She requested through a ravenous mouthful of prey. "Mmm, this is great!"

Littlekit let out a deep, rumbling purr and snuggled into Snowbreeze's fur. "No, I don't mind—I want to see the whole world between here and my new home!" She squeaked. "And don't leave out a single, tiny deteal; I want to hear everything about it!" ( Skittles--okay :3 But just so you know, she's yours, so if you'd rather rp her yourself, that's alright too. Your kit, your choice :3) ( sorry I haven't been on, it has been a pretty hard week for my family and I kind of had to step away and be with them oh I always let the people play their own characters in this situation so you can keep roleplaying her c: ) Snowbreeze laughed, laying down next to Littlekit. "Well, to get there we have to go through forest. It's pretty long, it took me half a day to get through it." She began to explain. "Our camp is nice. I'm not going into very big detail -- I want you to see it yourself. All I'm saying is, first den goes to the leader's second den, the den that she uses to talk to her cats. In reality, she shares dens with the warriors." Snowbreeze decided to pause there to see if Littlekit had any comments to pop in.. |

"Well it depends." Crystalfur mewed, hitting the ball back to Sunkit. "Usually the apprentice will travel with another cat until they find a suitable teacher, and the other cat will stay nearby until they're ready to leave in case there is trouble."

"I like that system," Sunkit decided definitively as he once again twitched his paw and sent the mossball soaring back towards Crystalfur. "I'll find the best teacher anywhere—I can already hunt and fight like a warrior!" He boasted with a grin. Owlkit smiled, though the look changed to slightly surprised amazement as the lily appeared and carried them downward. "That's a cool trick!" He purred nonchalantly, flicking Moonkit playfully with a wing-tip. Willowkit thought for a moment, motherly concern already blossoming in her heart for the younger kit. "How about Twilightkit, for your star?" She suggested, looking to Goldenlight for confirmation. Dewkit smiled shyly. "I was wondering...I know getting along with me can be...difficult," She began, gesturing to her scarred, blind eyes with her tail. "But I was wondering if I could maybe ..." She shook her head and tried again. " If I asked, would you adopt me?" "It sure does!" Toadkit affirmed, blinking his contentment, as his mouth was too full of the delicious meal to smile. "Thank you so much for teaching me," He added graciously. ( Skittles--it's fine! Take your time—I totally understand life getting busy. And awesome! I'm glad I won't have to totally say goodbye to her  ) "She shares it with the warriors?" Littlekit asked, amazed. "That's so cool! That means when I'm a warrior, I'll get to be denmates with the leader! And when I'm leader someday, I'll get to share a den with all my friends!" She purred, getting carried away in her excitement. ( littlesong42) Nightrose padded up to the unfamiliar she-cat, blinking a polite greeting. "I'm Nightrose—welcome to caring Hearts! Owlkit is playing right over there," She added, flicking her tail towards the tom-kit, who was chatting with a pretty she-kit on the opposite side of the cave. |

Owlkit shuffled his wings and smiled at Minnowscale as she approached. "Hello," He purred politely, though there was the slight playfulness of confidence in his voice. "It's nice to meet you."
"Really?" Smudgekit purred, chuckling slightly at the 'bossy' comment. "What's he like?" He asked somewhat smugly, though playfully so.
