I had to get tested for strep which I'm praying it's not, they don't think it is though luckily, but my throat is killing me. But at least I can no longer say I got nothing out of high school. I got a cold out of it

I relate. I get yearly throat infections around this time so rn my throat is killing me. I've had strep throat, it's unbelievably painful and lasts like two weeks but the bright side is the medication tastes amazing, and it's super contagious so not only can you skip things, most schools won't even let you attend with it. I had strep a few months back. I couldn't sleep it hurt so bad, couldn't swallow anything (Including saliva), and I wanted to die. But the medicine is great whenever you can swallow without much pain again. I used to get it a bit when I was younger, but I don't remember it being as bad as it was this past time, though. But omfg the pink medicine is literally the best I could drink it even if I wasn't sick <3 I needed two syringes a day at different times for 10 days. I was feeling better starting the third day tbh but they wanted me to keep taking it to ensure all the bacteria was gone, since the surviving bacteria would bite back stronger than before. Not that I was complaining, with the strep pain gone, I could actually enjoy taking the medicine

wait...medicine tasting GOOD!? that's new
Hopefully I don't have it, by what the nurse described, and the internet I don't, it's actually better now, luckily the nurse thinks it's viral and it looks viral
on the bright side I get to go to school and cough all over those who make fun of my limp and autism
