i will post more problems as needed but dang. im really bad at math, so im just going to ask for some help real quick.
problem one-
the cost of buying a helium tank and latex ballons is given by the formula
c= $23.00 + $0.35b,
where b is the number of balloons. If Carlos spent $72 on a tank and balloons, how many balloons did he buy?

another one-
Habitat for Humanity built 67 houses in Georgia in a year. If this was a little under what they normally are able to do, how many houses (H) are built in a year given that 4 more than three-fourths are many houses as normal were built?

All you do is substitute $72 into c and solve for b so $72 = $23.00 + $0.35b

I'm not sure about this one, but you're solving for H I'm thinking the formula would be H = 3/4(67) + 4 ?

For the second one, if I understand it correctly, you just have to solve it backwards. Putting all the information we know into an equation would look like this:
h=4/3*(67-4) h = houses normally built 67-4 = 3/4 of houses normally built 4/3=divide by 3 then muliply by 4, what we need to do to get from 3/4 to 4/4.
