I think we're getting ahead of ourselves on that one but the direct was very Fruitful thats for sure. having 3 games come out in like a year ish span of time is incredible.

I’m not too fond of the character models but the environments are growing on me. I’m so happy we still get the overworld encounter with drifloon <3

I want thicc wailord I dont think it would be in the remakes cause of the pixel scale, they'd scale them probably to the same ratio that they were to the player in hg/ss if at all. And they may need to entirely remake the models if thats the case and theres no way that's gonna happen in 7-9 months time. Though if they decide to keep the pal park, we may get at least a few """cute""" mons in! |

Ok VERY late to the party here but, firstly, f*ck yeah sinnoh remakes!!!!!
Secondly, I actually like the art style for the remakes. it is genuinely not what I was expecting, considering gamefreak has had such an emphasis on moving to 3D sprites (with limited success, imo). I REALLY wanted DPP remakes on the 3DS and I was crushed when I realized they were going to be moved to switch. Seeing the simplified graphics makes me feel more nostalgic, and I actually like that it appears they focused less on "modernizing" the game with updated graphics, but perhaps put their effort towards other aspects of the game (as was previously mentioned, maybe having actual legendary events instead of needing to hack...)
That being said, the arceus game has me a bit shaky. On one hand: BOTW Pokemon?? yes yes yes yes yes
On the other hand... the game footage shown looked pretty rough. Hopefully it's still in alpha.
Either way, I'm a diehard sinnoh fan and made a vow when SM came out (and I was disappointed in those games) that I absolutely would not give gamefreak another dime until sinnoh came back, and I have stood by that. Now I'm ready to preorder both games and get back into it. Either I'll recapture that insane interest and passion I had as a kid, or I'll be so disappointed I'll never touch another pokemon game. We'll see which way it goes lol.

My takes here aren't anything spicy. BDSP was an incredible disappointment for this Gen 4 kid; it literally looks like a Chinese mobile knockoff of its own franchise. The best thing to come out of it have been Chibi Dawn memes. I'm very curious and cautiously optimistic about Legends: Arceus.
