I am the forum's resident crazy dog guy, and I want to see pictures of your dogs, as well as know their names, gender, breed/mix, and age. These are my dogs, aka the loves of my lives. This is Sandy. She is a 7 month old American Staffordshire terrier, also know as an American Pitbull terrier. She is the pick of the litter out of my former show dogs' litter. She is duel registered, in both the AKC and UKC. She is a future show and weight pull dog, possibly a game dog as well since does come from gamebred lineage. \ This is Sampson. He comes to Sammy. He was dumped on the drive to my farm a few days back. He appears to be a lab/australian shepherd mix, I'm thinking he also has akita in him judging from his personality and the fact that he has a tail that curls over his back. I'm not too sure I'm going to keep him, but I haven't really had any luck finding him a home. There was someone interested but they never showed up. This is my newest addition, Bono. I drove to Georgia last weekend to get him. He came from an australian shepherd breeder who had an accidental litter of Aussiedoodles. (Female aussie was in heat and a neighbor's grey moyen poodle got into her enclosure.) He was the only puppy in the litter that wasn't merle and was therefore looked over. I think he's a handsome little boy, his fur is two toned grey and black. He is almost three months old.

Technically I show a picture of my dog every time I post, but here's another one! Her name is Melia and she's a two-year-old Australian shepherd.

Technically I show a picture of my dog every time I post, but here's another one! Her name is Melia and she's a two-year-old Australian shepherd. Dude. She is the most gorgeous Aussie I've seen in a while. I love her Merle coloring and she seems to have correct structure. I really want to hug her and pet her. Is she a standard or mini? Is she registered/showed? Aussies are literally my FAVORITE breed ever! As well as German, Dutch, and Belgian Shepherds. Today I just acquired my first dam to start my kennel! Her name is Ouzi, she is a Dutch import 2 year old German shepherd from Champion bloodlines. She's already whelped one litter. I don't get full breeding rights on her until the person that I acquired her from breeds his sire to her one last time and chooses his pick of the litter. I get to choose one too. The rest will be sold under his guidance and approval, but I get to keep the profit from it. After that she's completely mine and the AKC registration will be signed over into my name. I'm under contract. She's beautiful. Pictures coming soon. All these pictures are lovely. Thanks for sharing, keep it coming dudes!

in all his tiny glory his name is Grizz, because when we got him he kinda looked like a teddy bear. He's 2 years old (born just a day after my birthday) and... he was an impulse buy. my mom and i went into the pet store to get a frozen rat for my sister's snake and he was looking so pathetic and miserable in his little kennel thing that we bought him. He had gray on his back when he was a puppy and i kinda wish we had puppy pics of him but for some reason we dont ?? makes me sad. anyway hes supposedly a full chihuahua but i think hes mixed w something. hes an expert at licking faces when youre not expecting it, and when you say 'ew, gross, dont do that!' he takes it as a compliment.

"Pitbull" is a generic term coined for four individual pit-type breeds of dogs. Don't get it mixed up with the actual real deal pitbul breed. American Pitbull terriers are literally American Staffordshire Terriers. American pitbull terrier is the UKC's name for the Amstaff. I have registration papers to prove it. The am staff/abpt are the real deal game bred pitbulls. More than likely if you've got a dog that looks like a "pit" and it doesn't come from a registry, it most likely isn't a real purebred am staff. Look it up if you don't believe me. I know what I'm talking about, I've been helping raise these dogs since I was a toddler. Sorry if I seem defensive, but I know about these breeds. Please don't tell me I don't.

He either looks like a long coat chi or a pomchi (Pomeranian / chihuahua mix. ) typical pet stores trying to pass off nonpurebred dogs as purebred. Probably from a puppy mill, it makes me sad. Is he registered?

To add to my response, quoted directly from wikipedia.
" A member of the molosser breed group, both the American Staffordshire Terrier and the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) were bred from the same lineage, but received different names from the two American kennel clubs; American Staffordshire Terrier was the name given by the American Kennel Club (AKC), and American Pit Bull Terrier by the United Kennel Club (UKC)."
There is also another breed of staffy, that may be what confused you. English Staffordshire bullterriers are a seperate breed also dubbed as Staffies

They were probably just confused and wanted clarification. But yes, my brother has an American Staffordshire Terrier named Zelda he got from a shelter. I actually asked if she was a pit bull first time I saw her. But he gets really defensive when anyone says she's anything other than an American Staffordshire Terrier. And I used to, too because I didn't realize. But my mom refers to her as a Pit Bull to everyone who asks. I'll post a picture in a second.

This is Buddy, middle name Wolf, also known as Boodro, Budro, Buddernut, Budbark, Bud-boo, Fluffy-foo, Shibe, Fluff-boo, Fuzzy-boo, Cuddle-ums, Fluffums, and myriad oher bynames.
He is a monster.
Alright, so Buddy has numerous behavioral and temperamental issues, along with acid reflux, probably because he came from a puppy mill. He is aggressive, assertive, and possessive, and does anything he wants. He thinks he's the boss when he's only an annoying little twerp. When you pick him up and even make one move near the door, he begins to growl and thrash explosively because it wounds his pathetic pride to be cast from a room. If you shut a door when he's already outside of it, he growls and snarls and barks and makes Wookiee noises.
The saleswoman was your average 'greedy industrialist' type. When I yelled 'Buddy!', naming the then-cute terrier instinctually, the woman nodded enthusiastically and said, 'Because he's my little buddy'. Shame on you, ma'am. Also, when my dad had to go and get some cash from my mom because the store didn't accept debit, the woman offered to keep us there. No thanks.
BUDDY HAS COMMITTED MYRIAD CRIMES, FROM RIPPING OFF SOME OF OUR ALREADY-CRAPPY KITCHEN FLOOR TO CONSTANTLY EATING INEDIBLE OBJECTS. ALSO, HE TEARS UP INDESTRUCTABLE TOYS. YES, IN SPITE OF THE ODDS. AS A MATTER OF FACT, WHEN WE WERE AT THE PET STORE GETTING A REFUND FOR ONE TOY, THE CASHIER WENT "Terrier mix?" AS IF IT WAS A NORMAL THING.
AND WE JUST NODDED.
This boy is a handful. More than once he has mauled or bitten someone out of spite, even though he did not show signs of aggression before.

anywaayyyy heres my doggies this is Pippin. she came from a shelter in croatia, where they only keep dogs for a limited amount of time, and then put them down (not all the shelters use euthanasia either). she was soon to be killed, and we managed to get her in time. id hate to imagine her dead, she's such an angel :'c we did a dna test on her and the results said that she is a Lhasa apso x daschund x rat terrier and some other crossbreeds mixed in. this is Romani. shes the only dog i own that isn't a rescue dog. when i was 3 we adopted her when she was about 6 weeks old. she is a 3/4 jack russell terrier and 1/4 corgi. she's so sweet, but also stubborn, being a terrier. this is Faith. she came from Romania at a kill shelter. they treat dogs TERRIBLY where she came from.vets aren't vets bc they want to help animals - it's for money. when they spayed her they stitched her up with fishing line and she had to go through an operation and was in extreme pain for days afterwards. she also had a cow tag in her ear to identify her. they treat animals horrifically there. she is a german shepherd mix, but we don't know what she is exactly. she's very ''talkative''. this is Dolly. yes she looks as if ive just beaten her, but don't worry, i haven't. we are fostering her atm, and she has a really bad background. she came from romania, and she must have been beaten badly, because she's terrified of people. she was a street dog there. she is still scared of us, but she's gotten better. she used to not come near us, but now she comes over for a cuddle if we're sat down, but if we stand up she flees. we aren't sure exactly what breeds she is, but she definitely has some Jack Russell terrier in her.
