Hello, all! This is the discussion page for MintClan
Here we will talk about the plot, and people can discuss any subplots they wish to start.
We are also looking for bordering Clan(s)!! We want people who are willing to take part in gatherings, forbidden romances, and possible conflicts. Also, MintClan holds "competitions" once a moon (every Saturday) that other Clans are welcome to be included in! Gatherings could occur at any interval you wish, once a week, every other week, or once a month. However, I would prefer that it be on Saturdays when the competitions would be. Leave a link to your Clan if you're interested, and I can make a border/gathering place.

Basic Plot:
Pinestar - Dewstripe
Cedarstripe - BCPrincess
Nettlewhisker - ~Rainy~
Duckstep - sparkscatter
THREE SIBLINGS:
Blossomkit - Dewstripe
Vervainkit - Darth Vader
Quailkit - MistyMoon
We begin with a drought. The heat and thirst gradually lead to heightening tension. Friends fight. Prey gets harder to find.
While all of this is going on, Pinestar is on his last life. It won't be long before Cedarstripe takes over. When Pinestar does pass, he will leave a message for Nettlewhisker: a leader with a hunger for battle will lead to the destruction of the Clan. Cedarstripe takes this message all too seriously, obsessively avoiding every possible conflict. Soon, the rest of the Clan begins to view Cedarstar as cowardly and weak. The three siblings grow up during these harsh times. Quailkit becomes the medicine cat apprentice, eventually learning of the message causing Cedarstar's actions. However, she must keep it secret.
By the time Blossomkit and Vervainkit become warriors, they are fed up with the situation. They do everything they can to lead MintClan into battle in the hopes of making them strong once again. While their plans are unsuccessful, they slowly begin gaining supporters. Eventually, they secretly murder Duckstep in cold blood and blame it on a group of rogues. When Nettlewhisker discovers what happened, they kill them too, leaving Quailkit as the only medicine cat. Cedarstar wants to appease his increasingly restless Clanmates, so he chooses Blossomclaw as his deputy. With their new supporters and said rogues, Blossomclaw and Vervain_ eventually attack and take over the Clan, killing Cedarstar. It is then that Quail_ realizes Cedarstar's mistake. The message wasn't about him. Blossomclaw makes quite the battle hungry leader, with Vervain_ as her deputy. The rogues join the ranks of the Clan. Let's just say, overthrowing her will be a little more difficult than Cedarstar had been. But it is possible. And it will have to be done.

additional plot points we've come up with:
- a forest fire, immediately follwed by a major storm and flash flood occur while Blossom(star) is killed, betrayed by her Clanmates and poss. even some of the rogues
- once Blossom(star) is defeated, some of the rogues want to say but the Clan cats want them kicked out. the youngest rogue wants to become med cat app
- after Blossom dies, Vervain_ becomes leader and no one really trusts him at first. takes a lot of work to unite the Clan again. even worse because they have to go searching for new territory...
traditions we've come up with:

- cats cannot become deputy without having won each type of contest at least once in their lifetime
- unique warrior assessment (need more details)
- During the early days of MintClan, many kits didn't survive past their first few days. Over time, it became considered bad luck to name a kit before their eyes opened. Now, kits are not named until their eyes open. On that day, the kit's name is announced, and they're welcomed to the Clan.
