At the end of HJ, Echosong mentions that she had a vision of a young she-cat staring at a maple leaf, one that looked exactly like Hawkwing. If you compare the covers of TAS and HJ, Twigpw and Hawkwing are practically identical except for their eye colors. At this point, it's pretty obvious that Violetpaw and Twigpaw are the kits of Hawkwing and Pebbleshine; it would explain why their parents weren't around (if Pebbleshine was killed). I totally called that.
Anyway, the vision showed Twigpaw gesturing towards a five-point maple leaf, which represents the five Clans. That implies that Twigpaw is indeed "what you find in the shadows". It didn't say or show anything about Violetpaw, though. I find that kind of suspicious. That makes me think the Erins might pull a Hollyleaf on us. Does the prophecy only refer to Twigpaw? Or was Violetpaw just not reachable by StarClan due to ShadowClan's rogue state? (Something I find highly doubtful). Or did they just not mention her? That doesn't really make any sense, though.
Also, I find the sudden and constant use of maple leafs highly suspicious. Mapleshade better not be involved.

I actually would find it interesting if it was the latter scenario, that only Twigpaw is reachable atm, and not Violetpaw, but she is also one of the chosen ones as well. However it would be highly ironic if it were just Twigpaw, also I wonder if Dark Tail knows about the prophecy and how he will react when he finds out?

Considering the repetive plot in AVOS, it's pretty possibld that it referred only to Twigpaw.
Therefore they should've never been separated

I hope she is not like Hollyleaf… That was so annoying that she was so important for so long, and then purchases made her evil for the horrible reason of they couldn't find a power for her…
I think Violetpaw is still part of the prophecy, but not in the way anyone expects… Perhaps clearing the sky can also refer to Starclan, and finding the weaknesses in the warrior code… After all, the problem with Shadowclan happened because of discontentment with the warrior code…
I find that premise interesting, and I wonder where it will lead…

Honestly when I read that I just assumed they only used Twigpaw because she looks exactually like Hawkwing. Violetpaw unfortunately doesn't look like either of her parents. It was the only way to connect it that she was definitely his kit.
Of course they could have used both Twig and Violet, but who knows. I would not be happy if they pulled another Hollyleaf.
I'm also curious if Pebbleshine is the cat on the cover of Shattered Sky, because that would mean she's alive
