so my sister's moving rooms, and she's completely renovating the one that she's moving into, which is fine.
thing is, she has no idea how to renovate, and she's kind of expecting everyone around her to do it for her.
she's gotten very lucky so far in her adult life with connections and she's somehow gotten by doing nothing for herself. i can't judge her too harshly here, as she's my older sister and i haven't even gotten my driver's license yet, but i've noticed that she kind of gets everything handed to her on a silver platter.
when she was learning how to drive, the car that was destined to be hers, an old Honda Accord, she refused because she couldn't be bothered to drive a stick shift, and my mom, my stepfather, and my dad had to play hot potato with their cars so that she could get an automatic. my dad tried to ask her to buy her own food because she'll take the stuff that he buys but other than that is never home, doesn't even do chores, but instead she eats at her boyfriend's house 24/7 and makes out to his parents that my dad is evil and doesn't feed her so that they'll feel bad for her and let her eat there. and now with the renovation, she's forcing her boyfriend and my dad to do all the work for her because she doesn't know what she's doing, then gets mad at my dad when he points out the flaws in her plan.
what annoys me is that she doesn't even ask, she just expects. Like today, she comes up to me- "Hey, Zach's going to be in the room while i'm at work tomorrow, and he'll need help, so you have to do it."
I would have said yes if she asked, but what made me angry was that 1, she assumed that I don't have any plans or anything more important to do than her work, when she knows full well that I'm in 4 honors classes that require my attention and a play that I have to practice for, 2, "you have to do it." excuse me, I don't have to do anything for you. this is your project, and if you want my help you can ask for it instead of expecting it to get handed to you on a silver platter like everything else does. 3, I agreed to do it, even though I wasn't happy about it.
Seriously, if it wasn't for her boyfriend, this would be a train wreck.
~slightly petty rant over~
