We don't get pretty fall leaves where I live. The leaves here just stay green until it freezes, and then they all turn brown and fall off at once.

Ours turn in mid-september, usually. After the first frost hits they all turn at once and it's so beautiful. By mid-october, at the very latest, our trees are bare though, so it only lasts for a few weeks.

We still have most of our leaves here. Some of them have fallen off due to a storm from a few weeks ago, but for the most part our trees are still covered. They probably won't start falling off for another couple of weeks. It hasn't been cold here at all. We're still getting temps in the high 80's. Usually during this time of the year when the weather gets cold a strong wind comes and knocks them all off but that hasn't happened yet

yeah, theyre really pretty where I live. There's a rowan tree outside my mom's house that is a beautiful shade of red, and outside my window is this tree that had some nice oranges a couple days ago but now it's almost bare.
most of the trees here are pines tho so they're green all year round but the ones that do turn are super cool.

yeah, we do !
i mean winter obviously doesn't have any trees with pretty leaves (other than evergreens) but in the spring we have nice green leaves with little pink buds. sometimes we'll have some pink cherry trees too. in the summer it's mostly green again, but some trees are redish/purple. the fall is the best for colorful trees though because once september hits all the leaves start changing colors while some stay the same. they'll turn a nice yellowish/orange, some may stay red or purple though.

they do here in central wisconsin! some leaves are still clinging, but the majority fall off after the first week or two. the colors are fabulous though, i love hiking up some of the bigger hills around to look over the miles of trees.... it's honestly something i recommend to everyone that can make such a journey!

Yeah, and during the time the trees start turning colors (End of August/Early September) I'm working at the Renaissance Festival, which has so many trees. And I think I have the best view at my kitchen, Joust Kitchen. Though maybe Pirates Kitchen is better since they're right underneath the trees. The trees I see though, are along the back of our kitchen and the side, and I don't know how to explain the locations of the trees, but I can see them on the hill leading to the Pirates area, to the lower half of the festival. But it's so pretty to look at when we aren't busy with customers <3
And I also live out in the country, surrounded by a forest. I love looking into the distance at the yellow, red, and orange leaves still on the trees. It's a beautiful site

Yeah, usually a couple trees start in mid-late September, and then peak is usually like the first weekend in October. I like going to the one random (small) mountain in the middle of my state to take pictures; didn't get a chance this year. Here's a picture from a couple years ago from the very top of it:

Pennsylvania forever!

if the leaves don't fall off in canadian maritimes, you should start to worry. the trees are pretty much bare at this point.

no, i live in central texas, also known as Live Oak Capital
live oaks lose their leaves constantly as new growth comes in, so there's never a mass color change and simultaneous leaf drop. occasionally you can see splotches from the few remaining red/white oaks, but mostly they're choked out by the live oaks and cedars.
used to be really pretty in dallas though

I live near a forest, so it's very beautiful to walk through. There, you can find shades of red, orange, yellow, and even purple. Unfortunately, it's extremely barren in the winter.

yes!! i have a ton of photography with it its so pretty
and i also tried writing a poem based on the thread title idk why just impulse, turned out kind of meh but whatever
Do the leaves change colors where you live?
Do they grow old and wither? Crisp in your hand when you pick them up off the ground, After they fell to their earthen bed. Are they so fragile you could crumble it up?
Do the leaves change colors where you live?
Are they orange and yellow? No longer green like the grass, But instead deathly beautiful. And are they red and brown?
Do the leaves change colors where you live?
Did you rake them in a pile? You watch them turn from one shade to another, Throughout the course of the month. Did you jump into them like a little kid?
Do the leaves change colors where you live?
